TODAY rick, carl, michonne and faye who carl had begged to tag along were heading to king county. the two teens sat in the back of the car in silence, often stealing glances at eachother.

as they drove down the road, a person caught their attention. "hey!!!!!" he hollered, flailing his arms about in distress. the man carried on chasing the car, only to trip over letting the car get away.

they hit a roadblock, a couple of cars blocked the road meaning the car had to go around. it was all going well until the car got trapped in the mud. "oh that's great." faye sarcastically muttered. as if their luck could get any worse, 6 walkers surrounded the car, banging on the windows.

"cover your ears." rick looked back at the teens through the rearview mirrow. faye obliged, placing her hands over her ears and shutting her eyes, attempting to block out any sounds she could.

once rick took out each walker, everyone got out the car. rick scavenged the abandoned cars for something to use to get their car out the mud. faye and carl leant against a small red car, watching their surroundings like a pair of hawks. "this will work." rick stated, holding up a floral sheet.

the girl climbed into the car, along with michonne. she lazily rested her head against the window silently eavesdropping on rick and carls conversation outside the car. the calm atmosphere was soon interrupted by the man from earlier slowly catching up to them "hey help me!!!! don't leave!!!!" he yelled, running down the road towards them. faye would be lying if she said it didn't scare her just a bit.

carl and rick got back into the car once they got the car unstuck. "you okay?" carl whispered quiet enough for only the girl to hear, she gave him a nod in response, the startled look still all over her face.

they arrived at their destination, climbing out the car in silence. faye noticed michonne walking alone so she slowed her pace to join the woman. whether michonne wanted company or not, faye knew how it felt to be the odd one out.

they headed into the police station where rick used to work. they entered the armoury only for it to be all scavenged. michonne and rick went back and fourth, slightly bickering. faye rolled her eyes at the tension between the two adults.

they left the police station, rick lead them to their next stop. as they turned the corner they were met by walker traps scattered all across from sidewalk to sidewalk. "it looks like somebody has already made this theres." michonne stated, her eyes darting around at the many spray painted quotes and walker traps. "doesn't mean they found what we're looking for" rick tried to be optimistic.

"there.. tyrell's. shotgun and two handguns." rick pointed at a small building. carl tapped his fathers shoulder noticing a walker following behind them, michonne pulled her katana out ready to kill it when rick stopped her. "wait. she'll get caught." rick gestured to the string they'd just gone under. as the walker walked into the string a gunshot went off, hitting the walker straight in the head and faye pulled out her gun in instinct.

"HANDS!" a male voice yelled from a rooftop. "now drop what you've got and go! your guns, your shoes, and that sword. all of it, ten seconds!" he instructed.

"we need that rifle." faye whispered, her eyes never leaving the male figure on the rooftop. "i think i can get up there." michonne told rick quietly. "kids, go." rick told the two teens before letting out two shots at the man. carl grabbed fayes arm pulling her with him behind a car.

the man got down from the roof, ready to take on the four. he slowly chased rick, like it was a horror movie. "stay here." carl told faye in a hushed tone before stepping out and shooting the man down. she quickly rushed to her feet, joining the three who stood around in shock at the boys actions.
