later on in the night, rick set up another mission for the group, leaving behind, faye, carl, rosita, eugene, judith, gabriel, tyreese and bob.

"you gonna be okay?" glenn looked up at faye, who sat nearby. "yep." she bluntly replied, avoiding eye contact. "what's up with you?" he breathily chuckled. "you're disloyal." she looked up at him, her eyes full of hurt. "what?" he furrowed his brows in confusion. "you're leaving us for a group you met a week ago. you're disloyal." she repeated before standing up and walking away.

eventually the others left, gabriel locked the door behind them, blowing out the candles and joining the rest of the group in the office.

faye sat next to the wooden box they were using as a bassinet for judith, admiring the small baby and her innocence in such a horrid world. the church was silent besides the tapping coming from carl as he tapped nervously on his holster.

suddenly, the sound of the door bursting open made everyone's head shoot up. faye's eyes widened, making eye contact with carl who seemed just as shocked as her. she quickly stood up, pulling her gun out her waistband and aiming it at the door, along with carl.

"well i guess you know we're here." gareth's voice echoed through the church. "and we know.. you're here."

"and we're armed." he added. "so there's really no point in hiding anymore."

the footsteps inched closer..

"we've been watching you. we know who's here."

"there's.. bob. unless you put him out his misery already. and eugene, rosita, martins good friend tyreese, carl, faith and judith."

the way gareth listed the names sent chills down faye's spine, it made her wonder how long he'd actually been watching for.

"rick and the rest walked out! with alot of your guns." he stated, staying quiet for a few moments, presumably trying to hear which room they were in.

"listen, we don't know where you all are but this isn't a big place. so let's just stop this now before things get more painful than they need to be."

the church went silent again, faye's heart began to race with fear as the door knob began to rattle.

"look, you're behind one of these two doors and we have enough firepower to take down both. can't imagine that's what you all want."

"how about the priest? father, you help us wrap this up, we'll let you walk away from this. just open the door and you can go, you can even take the baby with you."

faye shot father gabriel a look, this moment would really decipher whether gabriel was trustworthy or not. whether he'd throw the others under the bus to save himself.

the church went silent once more before judith let out a loud cry. carl rushed over to the baby's side, trying his best to soothe her while also staying silent himself.

"i don't know, maybe we'll keep the kid. i'm starting to like this girl." gareth muttered.

"it's your last chance to tell us you're coming out." he called out.

"alright we'll hit the hinges." he told his group. faye got ready to shoot anyone who came through the door, her knuckles turning white at the firm hold she had on her gun.

suddenly, a few silenced gunshots rung through the church. but they weren't at the door. "rick we'll fire right into that office, so you lower your gun!" gareth exclaimed, his tone less confident than before and more panicked.
