FAYE SAT in a small empty corner of the greene house. her knees brought to her chest as she zoned out into her own world."you did the right think you know. shooting her like that. i would've done it to." a voice made fayes head dart up. it was carl. faye gave a shrug in response. "dropped this." carl muttered handing her gun back.
after awhile lori came in, calling them to come join the burial. faye chewed on her bottom lip staring down at her brown boots that scuffled the dirt as she walked towards the graves.
she leant against daryl, his tense state softening slightly. after the burial was over, everyone scattered out. "it had to me, you know." faye whispered, her eyes never leaving the ground.
"maybe i could've done something different that day, telling her to stay hidden, distracting the walkers, chasing after her or even just getting out before her so they came for me not her." she mumbled. "stop it faye, it's not your fault." daryl whispered to his daughter "i'll see you later, i love you" he ruffled her hair before parting ways with her.

faye and carl set the table for dinner as some group members returned to the farmhouse. everyone sat down and dished out food onto their plates.
"carl, i want you to keep your head up okay?" shane spoke up. "your old man, he's the toughest son of a-"
"no cussing in the house." patrica interrupted. "sorry." shane raised his brows.
carol called out for lori to come to dinner "she's not in there." maggie remarked. everyone looked around at eachother in confusion.
"carl, when was the last time you saw your mom?" shane questioned the boy. "this afternoon." he replied.
"she was worried about rick, asked me to look out for carl." andrea informed the group. "she went after them?" dale furrowed his brows.
"nobody panic. she's gonna be around here somewhere." shane stood up followed by everyone else.
andrea, t-dog, carl and faye searched the camp area before shane strutted down to them. "she's not in the barn." he told them.
"well, where is she?!" carl exclaimed, worry written all over his face. "she asked daryl to go into town. must've gone herself." carol reached the group.
carl covered his mouth, fear consuming the boy. faye placed a comforting grasp on his wrist before he stormed away into the house.
andrea gave faye a look to go check on him. the girl gave shane a glare before following behind the boy.
"your parents will be fine." faye muttered after sitting in silence with carl for a moment. "they're some of the strongest people i know."
the two sat together until the screeching sound of a car pulling up made faye rush to the window. "someone's back" she announced. "come on." she called out rushing out the house to the group.
"i had to make sure the baby's okay." the girl heard shane mumbled as she reached the group. "you're having a baby?" carl furrowed his brows. "why didn't you tell me?" he exclaimed.
