FAYE SAT at the small table in the makeshift camp next to lori and carl. the 3 sat in silence, only sounds that could be heard were the pencils against the paper as they practiced math equations.

"does shane think sophia's dead?" carls eyes never left the paper as he spoke. lori paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts "shane's just.. scared." her gaze softened. "of the walkers in the barn?" faye spoke up placing her pencil down "yeah." lori muttered.

"mom, i'm not leaving until we find sophia. and i don't wanna go even after that." he spoke softly "well, we're not leaving, carl." she reassured her son. "both of you, finish those problems." lori nudged her head to the two notebooks.

faye blocked out the sound of the two as she focused on the math problems. getting lost and caught up in her own mind. is there even a slim chance sophia will be found alive? are we leaving the farm? are we safe? her mind ran from question to question stressing herself out. she let out a small sigh before getting back to her work.

later on, carl and faye sat together by a pile of logs, sharing a comic they'd been given from jimmy. fayes gaze drifted from the comic over to lori and shane, they seemed unhappy or atleast lori did. the girl narrowed her eyes watching shane walk away from lori and towards her and carl.

"hey shane, can i talk to you for a sec?" carl called out, handing faye the comic as he stood up.

"you okay?" shane peered down at the boy. "i know you think sophia's dead, and that we should stop looking for her. but that's.. that's bullshit." carl spat.

fayes eyes widened at the boys choice of words. "hey man, watch your mouth." shane warned, his eyes darting from carl to faye. "we're gonna stay here until we find her." the boy demanded.

"you think that's what we should do?" shane smirked. "it's what i know we should do." carl glared at the man.

"then we stay." shane shrugged. "that means we gotta do whatever we gotta do to make that happen. hm?"

"carl, faith. come here for a minute?" lori called out while giving shane a look. faye didn't hesitate to get away from shane, looking back at him as she headed over to lori.

"he's a strange man." faye muttered to lori as she sat down next to her. "i think most people here would agree with you." lori replied, chopping a carrot.

faye sat on the porch with beth, carl and patrica. "do yall know what's going on?" t-dog  called out as he walked up to the porch with andrea. "where is everyone?" andrea chimed in.

"you haven't seen rick?" glenn furrowed his brows. "he went off with Hershel, we were supposed to leave a couple of hours ago" andrea remarked.

"yeah you were. what the hell?" daryl walked over to the group with carol. "rick told us he was going out." carol added.

"damnit! isn't anybody taking this seriously?" daryl spat "we got us a damn trail!"

"oh here we go." he mumbled meeting eyes with shane who returning to the camp. "what's all this?" daryl pointed to the guns shane was carrying. "you with me man?" shane growled

faye watched as her dad took the gun from shane, a sickening feeling bubbled in her stomach. she rushed out the comfort of her seat on the porch to the stairs glaring at shane as he spoke and handed out guns.

shane muttered something to carl, trying to hand him a gun when lori stood in between the two. faye couldn't manage to hear what was being said but from the look on loris face it wasn't good. faye kept her hand on her gun that sat in her waistband ready to take action.

"oh shit!" t-dog exclaimed. in the distance was rick, hershel and jimmy returning with a walker on some sort of contraption.

"what is that." shane muttered as he began to sprint over to the three, the group following behind him.

fayes body felt shakey as she followed the group, hearing shane's yells as he shot the walker rick was bringing back in the chest, seeing how it didn't die, still hungry for blood.

"enough, waiting around for a little girl who's gone!" he yelled "enough living next to a barn full of those things that are trying to kill us!"

suddenly shane began hitting the locks with a pickaxe. faye let out a gasp, her mouth agape as she watched the man, his eyes full of fury. she could hear the group, most yelling for him to stop. she noticed her father telling him to do it, gave her dad a look full of confusion and anger.

fayes heart raced as the walkers began piling out the barn, rushing closer to the front of the group to help take them out. she began shooting walkers one by one, chewing on her bottom lip as she focused aiming on their heads.

once daryl shot the last walker (or so they thought.) faye let out a breath she didn't even realise she was holding. daryl gave her a small nod feeling a sense of pride of how his daughter handled it.

small growls could be heard from the inside of the barn. shane lifted his gun getting ready to take the actual last one out.

faye felt like she could throw up when she saw the last walker. she could feel the burning sensation in her eyes and throat from holding back the tears. out came from the barn sophia. although it wasn't sophia anymore. just another monster.

daryl held carol as she sobbed, watching her daughter in monster form walk towards them.

rick slowly approached sophia, raising his gun. before he could pull the trigger another shot rang through the farm and sophia as a walker dropped to the ground.

the groups heads snapped around to the source only to see faye lowering her gun with shakey hands. she looked over at the group before dropping her gun and walking away.
