FAYE WAS CHILLING ON HER BED, staring at the doodles on her wall, tracing them with her finger. ruckus in the room over brought her back to reality. she sighed, getting up from her bed and walking out the cell block only to see carl and strangers.

"carl, what the fuck." she furrowed her brows, glaring at the strangers. "who the hell are you? who are you with?" one of them asked.

"look, we can help you. first things first." carl looked down at the unconscious woman on the floor. "no. we take care of our own." another stranger piped up.

the two kids walked back into the cellblock, locking the door behind them gaining the woman's attention. "hey, what are you doing?" she approached the door.

"you can't just leave us in here! open this door!" she yelled, shaking the bars on the door. faye raised her gun "we have every right to shoot you right here, right now. be grateful we haven't."

the man and woman backed away, the man whispered a few words to the woman to calm her down before speaking up "we don't want any trouble."

at lunch time, everyone sat around at the tables. faye stayed on edge stood next to carl, ready to put someone down if they even just moved in the wrong way while hershel stitched up another strangers leg.

beth walked in with the baby, who was now called judith. gaining the two strangers now known as tyreese and sasha's attention.

"how old is the baby?" sasha asked clearly shocked "barely a week." hershel answered.

"to be honest we thought we'd never ever see another baby." sasha slowly approached beth. "how are you feeling?" she placed a hand on beth's shoulder. "oh.. she's not mine." beth looked up at the woman, a hint of sadness in her voice.

"where's the mother?" sasha crossed her arms as she turned to look at everyone else. faye could basically feel the tension radiating off of carl.

faye watched the strangers carry their friend to go bury her. they'd stopped in the middle of their tracks, talking low and quietly.

beth and axel walked down, handing them shovels. it was obvious to faye they were also extremely weary of the strangers.

soon after, rick and the others returned back. faye ran over the car as fast as she could, expecting her dad to come out the car and pull her close like he usually did.

but this time was different. he wasn't there. "where's my dad?" faye furrowed her brows at rick.

rick knelt down to meet faye eye to eye. "he's alive, we ran into merle. he went off." he explained. fayes heart sank at his words. "w-what do you mean? is he coming back?" faye panicked.

"i- i don't know." rick placed his hands on the girls shoulders. "but it's okay. we've got ya." he tried his best to comfort the girl. "h-he just left me?" faye felt her eyes well up. she ran off, back up to the prison where carl followed behind slowly. leaving carol and rick.

the young girl sat alone in her cell, her small frame huddled on the bed, her stuffed fox clutched close to her chest. her tear-streaked face betrayed her shock and hurt as she tried to process the news that daryl had left her, abandoned her, for merle. she felt utterly alone and overwhelmed with a mixture of emotions. the world felt eerily quiet, except for the sound of her ragged breathing.

glenn, the boy who had always been like a brother figure to faye, slowly peeked his head into her cell, taking in her small, hunched figure on the bed. his heart ached at the sight of her, huddled there with tears streaming down her face. he quietly approached her, sitting down on the edge of the bed beside her.

"merle do that to you?" faye looked up at glenn's black eye. glenn stayed silent, trying to figure out how to speak about the situation. "yeah." he muttered. "sorry." she mumbled barely over a whisper.

glenn said nothing, opening his arms for the girl. "i'm nothing like your dad. but i'll look after you." he reassured the young girl. faye nodded in response.

that night, the group crowded around while rick talked to the strangers. they told him how they'd got in, who they'd lost, how they'd survived so long.

rick and hershel whispered amongst eachother, deciding what to do. ricks eyes looked up as if he'd seen something. "no, no.." he whispered to himself. "no, no, no, no." he brought his shakey hand to his face

"why are you here." rick spoke to nobody. "what do you want from me. why are you.. no.." he whispered. "i can't help you! get out!" he looked up and yelled making faye flinch.

"you don't belong here! get out! get out! please! get out!" he yelled, pulling out his gun.

the next day, nobody had seen rick that morning and with daryl gone, glenn took the role of the lead.

he drew a layout of the prison with chalk and asked carl to tell him where tyreese group had came in from.

"the whole front of the prison is unsecure. if walkers just strolled in, then it's gonna be cake for a group of armed men." glenn sighed, looking back down at the chalk drawing.

"why are we even so sure he's gonna attack? maybe you scared him off." beth spoke up.

"he had fish tanks full of heads. walkers and humans. trophies. he's coming." michonne revealed. "oh that's nice." faye sarcastically muttered.

"we should hit him now. he won't be expecting it. we'll sneak back in and put a bullet in his head." glenn suggested. "we're not assassins." carol furrowed her brows.

"you know where his apartment is. you and i could end this tonight. i'll do it myself." glenn walked up to michonne. she gave him a nod, she wanted the governor dead as much as he did.

"he didn't know you were coming last time and look what happened. you were almost killed, daryl was captured and you and maggie were almost executed." hershel attempted to knock some sense into the man's head.

"you can't stop me." glenn muttered. "rick would never allow this." hershel stood his ground.

"you really think he's in any position to make that choice?" faye chimed in.

"think this through clearly, T-dog lost his life here. lori, too. the men that were here. it isn't worth any more killing." hershel's eyes darted from faye to glenn. "what are we waiting for? if he's really on his way, we should be out of here by now."

"and go where?" glenn asked, getting frustrated. "we lived on the road all winter." hershel replied.

"back when you had two legs and we didn't have a baby crying for walkers every 4 hours." glenn spat. "we can't stay here." hershel stated. "we can't run." glenn watched maggie walk away back to her cell.

"alright, we'll stay put. we're gonna defend this place. we're making a stand." glenn ordered.
