FAYE WANDERED around the prisons courtyard with carl. he tried his best to keep the conversation light and distract the girl from the fact her dad had left.gunfire let loose at the prison, the girl grabbed carls hand dragging him over to a nearby wall to protect them from the bullets. they let out a few helpless shots, before tucking behind the wall silently praying for it to end.
a truck pulled up to prison, the engines roaring attracting more walkers. the truck ploughed straight through the fences into the field, the back trap door opened letting out walkers.
faye could feel herself choking up as she watched the walkers flood the field. asoon as the governor and his men left she ran down to start taking out the walkers alongside carl, maggie and beth.
she shot at the walkers till her body grew tired, taking out her anger and frustration out on the monsters. carl called her back, she ran back into the courtyard, helping him shut the gate behind glenn's car.
faye noticed rick running up to them with two men by her side. it didn't take long to realise it was daryl and merle. the girl kept a firm glare on the men, still hurt at her fathers actions. daryl approached his daughter with a look of guilt, he placed his hands on her shoulders in which she pushed him away.
daryl knew he damn well deserved it but it still stung. he slowly trailed behind her, following the group back into the cell block.
"we're not leaving." rick stated, leaving no room for discussion. "we can't stay here." hershel argued. "what if there's another sniper? a wood pallet wouldn't stop one of those rounds." maggie spoke up.
"if rick says we're not running we're not running." glenn commanded, sternly. "no. better to live like rats." merle smugly smirked looking at them through the door. "shut up, merle." faye muttered under her breath, only heard by daryl.
"you got a better idea?" rick furrowed his brows. "yeah, we should of slid outta here last night and lived to fight another day. but we lost that window didn't we." he replied.
"we ain't scared of that prick." daryl muttered, looking down at his daughter for a moment. "yall should be. that truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell." merle warned them.
the group began to bicker about what to do. rick glared at them before beginning to walk away. "get back here!" hershel yelled, making faye cover her ears and rick stop in his tracks.
"you're slipping, rick. we've all seen it. we understand why. but now is not the time. you once said this isn't a democracy. now you have to own up to that. i put my family's life in your hands, daryl too. so get your head clear and do something." the older man snapped, finally telling rick what everyone was thinking.
faye sat on the steps in the cellblock, doodling in the notepad she'd kept close to her since the farm. "how's my niece doing?" merle grinned, leaning against the door. faye ignored him, her attention never leaving the notepad. "it's rude to ignore people, faith. especially your own blood." he raised his brows.
"blood doesn't mean shit nowadays" faye softly mumbled, flipping the page in her notebook. "your cowboy leader rick teach ya that?" he squinted his eyes at her.
"how old are ya now? 15?" he swiftly changed the subject. "13." she replied looking up at him for a moment. "close enough." he grumbled.
the adults tried forming a plan to get the fence back up and more supplies. "we've been here before, we'll be alright." daryl tried lifting their spirits. "that's when it was just us. before there was a snake in the nest." glenn spat.
"man, we gonna go through this again? look merles staying here. he's with us now." daryl hissed "get used to it. all of yall." he glared up at his daughter.
"he may be erratic but don't question his loyalty to his brother." hershel tried calming the tension.
"this is the same man that told him to kill me to save their asses. merles got no loyalty, he does whatever he can to keep himself alive. if he needs to throw us under the bus to save himself, he will." faye furrowed her brows as she spoke. she knew merle. her uncle wasn't a good man in her eyes. he never would be.
they all looked over at the girl, slightly shocked at her outburst. they knew deep down she was right but it was a losing battle. sending merle away wasn't an option with daryl around.
carl rushed in a few moments later, telling them to come outside immediately. faye grabbed her gun and placed her knife into her waistband following behind the adults to the courtyard.
"andrea?" faye furrowed her brows as rick patted the woman down for any other weapons. "welcome back. get up." rick muttered helping her up. "oh god, you're so tall now." andrea knelt down to faye who was smiling softly at the reunion.
they lead the blonde into the cellblock where carol brought her into an embrace. "you all live here?" she exhaled, looking around the dim grey room. "here and the cell block." glenn crossed his arms.
faye noticed the expression on michonnes face, she moved closer to the woman. she liked michonne. she was tough, pretty, probably the coolest woman faye had ever met.
"what have you told them?" andrea turned around to michonne. "nothing." the woman bluntly replied. "i don't get it. i left atlanta with you people and now im the odd one out?" the blonde exclaimed, throwing her arms up in frustration.
"look, i cannot excuse or explain what phillip has done. but i am here trying to bring us together. we have to work this out." andrea huffed.
"why whenever she speaks it feels like she's gonna break out into a song." faye whispered to michonne, michonne bit her tongue holding back her laughter.
"there is room at woodbury f-for all of you." andrea stated. "oh cool so we can all get tortured? sounds great i'll pack my bags" faye sarcastically remarked making merle chuckle.
