"dad?" faye called out from the living room doorway. "faye why are you up?" daryl grumbled in response.

"what the hell have i done to you?" faye crossed her arms, leaning against the doorway. those words coming out her mouth felt like a weight lifting off her shoulders.

"nothin." daryl furrowed his brows.

"oh yeah. that's why you can't even look me in the eye anymore. i'm your daughter. did you forget that or something?" faye spat, glaring at her father.

"faith- i'm not dealing with this tonight." daryl murmured as he got up and walked away to his room. leaving his daughter alone in the dark living room.

the next morning, the group was back to being piled into the RV and two cars. rick had a plan to take our negans members at an outpost.

although, when it actually was time to sneak in and take the saviours out.. daryl decided to make the first parental decision he'd made in awhile and force faye to stay back with maggie and carol.

although this time before he left her behind there was no "i love yous" or quick hugs like they normally would. it was a slight tense glare between them this time.

everything was quiet for a moment before a loud alarm rang out from satellite outpost "they're in trouble. stay here!" carol exclaimed as she began to run towards the outpost with maggie following close behind.

faye looked at the two women in disbelief  before chasing after them. "i said stay here." carol muttered.

"no are you crazy?!" faye furrowed her brows.

"damnit! faye!" carol grabbed faye's arm harshly, swinging her around to look at her.

"i have to!" the girl yelled.

"no you don't. no you don't have to." maggie chimed in, placing a hand on the girls shoulder.

"i'm going with yall." faye stated leaving no room for argument or discussion.

"and you wonder why your dads fed up with you. you're reckless." carol spat, harsher than she meant to.

faye's heart sank at carols words. all faye ever wanted to do was help them all out. since sophia's death she promised herself she'd do everything to prevent loosing anyone else. she gave carol a blank stare, her eyes full of anger and hurt.

suddenly, carol pulled out her gun and aimed it just over faye's shoulder. the girl reached for her own gun, quickly turning around and meeting eyes with an unfamiliar man who aimed his gun at the three.

faye wasted no time pulling the trigger. "cmon we gotta go." she called out, wiping the rain from her face.

"not until it's done." maggie stated as she approached the man on the floor, aiming the gun at his head.

just before maggie pulled the trigger, a cold metal like object pressed against the side of faye's head.

"STOP! or she's dead." an unfamiliar woman's voice rung out.

another girl came out from the trees, holding her gun up to carols head. "guns, knives, on the ground right now." she demanded.

"nice jacket." another lady spoke up.

"for a murderous bitch." the woman who held her gun right to faye's head retorted.

the unknown group held maggie, carol and faye until the sun rose. the ginger lady (that faye guessed was the leader) peered through her binoculars. something must've caught her eye as she brought the walkie talkie up to her mouth.
