the group decided to go to jesus' community, known as hilltop.

"you're not coming?" faye furrowed her brows at her boyfriend as she got her weapons ready. "nah, somebody's gotta stay back and protect this place" he smugly grinned.

"okay what if i get kidnapped by the hilltopians it'll be your fault" faye dramatically sighed, placing a hand on her hip.

"you'll be fine." he chuckled, placing a kiss on her forehead.

the two headed outside, carl went over to his dad as faye climbed into the RV.

"let's chew up some asphalt!" abraham yelled.

the drive to hilltop was long and boring. faye rested her head against the window, looking around at the group. stopping at maggie and glenn, watching how glenn gently rubbed maggies stomach, admiring how excited he must be to become a dad.

she hoped one day in the far, far future, her and carl would have a relationship like them.

"hey, can i ask you something." abraham spoke to glenn in a hushed tone.

"yeah." glenn muttered, leaning forward.

"when you were, uh, pouring the bisquick, were you tryna make pancakes?" he spoke seriously.

it took a moment for it to click in faye's brain at what he was asking and she instantly pulled a face of grimace.

"oh, uh- yeah.. i mean it's something we'd talked about." glenn replied. "why?" he furrowed his brows in confusion.

"no, i just.. well, given the precarious.. state of the fairs on any given sunday, i am damn near floored that you or anyone else would have the cojones to make a call like that." abraham rambled, his eyes darting from maggies stomach to glenn.

"i mean, well, we're trying to build something, me and her. all of us." glenn nodded.

his words warmed faye's heart, it was undeniable that glenn loved maggie more than anyone or anything on this earth.

"for the record, i see rain coming, im wearing galoshes. i double up." the ginger stated as glenn looked at him in disbelief that he was having this conversation so seriously.

suddenly the RV came to a stop. "rick, what's going on?" daryl called out as he looked out the blinds.

"we got a crash ahead, looks like it just happened." rick informed them.

"it's one of ours." jesus exclaimed as he got up towards the RV door.

everyone followed him out the RV. faye reached him first, pulling her gun out and holding it up to his head. "if this is a trick, it won't end well for you." rick muttered once he reached them.

"my people are in danger. they don't.. we don't have alot of fighters." he explained, frantically glaring at faye then rick.

"i know how it looks but ill play it out. can i borrow a gun?" he raised his hands in surrender.

"are you crazy?" faye furrowed her brows, glaring at him as if he were stupid.

"there's tracks here." daryl muttered, pointing at the ground, slowly leading the group to a nearby building.

which rick ordered maggie and faye to wait outside and keep an eye on jesus as the others went in to get jesus' people.

"you hear me whistle, you shoot him." rick stated before entering the building.
