around an hour had gone by, the group found a little spot to park up and figure out what route to take. faye secretly hoped maggie would magically recover and they could all turn around and go home.night came quick and the group was still planning. they managed to find something to carry maggie on while they moved around. the group walked through the dark woods, faye grasped her gun tightly till her knuckles turned white.
faye and carl walked slightly ahead of the others who carried maggie, taking out any walker that could get in their way. carl spoke to his dad in a hushed tone before being interrupted by a loud whistle echoing throughout the woods.
"GO!" rick yelled, nodding over to another direction for them to run.
the whistle continued, it seemed to be getting louder and louder. it felt like they were running towards it instead of away from it but faye knew not to argue about it. rick would keep them safe. right?
they ended up running into a road, where the headlights of an RV turned on. the whistles were louder now, more piercing. they were surrounded by people, atleast 100. they couldn't take them all.
faye's eyes widened, her head snapping around looking at the people surrounding them, they were trapped. someone was dying tonight.
the whistling faded out, and a familiar man emerged from behind a car. "good. you made it." simon grinned.
"welcome to where you're going." he opened his arms welcomingly.
"we'll take your weapons now." simon pulled out his gun, aiming it at faye.
it was bad, sure. but faye sort of hoped he pulled the trigger. maybe killing her would give negans men the thrill they wanted and they'd leave the others alone.
"we can talk about this." ricks voice was shakey, his eyes that once were filled with determination now were full of fear.
"we're done talking." simon placed his finger on the trigger, daring to pull it.
the people behind them began to harshly take the weapons from the group, while faye never lost eye contact with simon, not daring to show the fear riddled within her.
"okay! let's get her down and everybody else on their knees." simon ordered, pointing to maggie and then harshly grabbing faye's arm, dragging her to the ground.
everyone got on their knees, faye made eyes with carl who knelt beside her. it was obviously they were both as terrified as eachother. the girls stomach churned, she felt like if she spoke she'd vomit.
"dwight!" simon called out to a man with a half burnt face. "chop-chop." he gestured to the van.
dwight opened the vans back doors, pulling out a man. daryl.
faye's eyes widened as she saw her father, he was beaten and bloody. she made eyes with her father from across the gravel. "dad." she muttered under her shakey breath. she wanted to run up to him, hug him tightly and never let go again.
out came rosita, then michonne and then glenn. glenn collapsed to his knees besides faye, his eyes scanned across the group before he met eyes with maggie.
"alright! we got a full boat. let's meet the man." simon knocked on the door of an RV.
it was silent for a moment before out came a man in a black leather jacket holding a bat covered in barbed wire. 'this must be negan.' faye thought.
"pissing our pants yet?" he grinned wickedly.
"boy.. do i have a feeling we're getting close." he slowly approached them.
