I stumbled my way through the bar. I wanted another drink. Even though my body was starting to give out on me, I was no where near done for the night. I was desperate to feel something by shutting out the nothingness I constantly felt. The numb drunk nothingness was better than the numb nothingness I constantly felt.

"Baby girl we have work in the morning." I warning voice came from beside me when I made it to the bar. The voice was familiar.

"What's it to you Kisame? You're not my boss." I spat out at him even though I had no problem with him. I had a rough day and anyone getting between me and my liquor was going to hear it for me.

"Because I worry about you bubs." His voice was soft as he knew he was walking on thin ice.

"Then are you going to take me home?" I lifted an eyebrow at him. Distain cover my face.

"For me to babysit you there? No thanks. I'd like to enjoy my night too. I'm just warning you that you should watch yourself on the liquor for tomorrow. I don't want you too hungover for work."

"I've worked through worse." I scoff as I tried to get the bartenders attention. I made eye contact with her but she turned a blind eye.

"Excuse me?" I huffed. After a couple minutes she walked over to me.

"Sorry hon but you're cut off." She declared.

"Cut off?" I asked louder than I should have. My first clenched at my side. I was about to show her exactly who she was talking to when Kisame grabbed my wrist.

"Come on bubs. Time to go home then." I whipped my hand from his grasp and turned back towards the bartended. I felt fire in my veins. My jaw was clench so tight I thought my back molars might crack.

"(Y/N) don't even think about it. Let's go." Kisame's voice was stern and held no room for arguing. I knew when to pick my battles. A fight with Kisame in a crowed bar drunk off my ass was not going to end well for me.

"Fuck you." I huffed out towards the bartender before leading the way out of the bar.

"There is another bar on the next road over. Are you going to join me?" I asked Kisame without turning around to him.

"Baby girl I think that was your sign to call it a night."

"But I'm not done yet." I squinted my eyes at him. My face dared him to challenge me. But true to his nature he was up for any challenge I threw his way.

"But I think you are bubs." He stepped closer to me. "I can smell the liquor seeping out your pores."

"Then maybe you should take a step back." I scoffed at him.

"What's this alcohol bender about bubs?" By the time he asked the question his chest was flush against mine and he cupped my cheek in his palm. His thumb caressed my cheek a couple times before I turned away from him. All I saw was pity in his eyes.

"Fuck off Kisame." I said under my breath as I tried to walk away from him.

Kisame grabbed my waist and pulled me back to him. Once again we were chest to chest. I tried not to look into his eyes. "Talk to me bubs."

"I just want to feel something. Feel something other than blood on my hands." I barely registered his slight nod. Kisame grabbed my hand in his and led me down the streets. I didn't know where we were going nor did I care at this point.

Eventually the lights of the village fell behind us but we kept walking. I was too busy stumping over my drunken feet to notice where we were going. Eventually Kisame got tired of dragging my drunken ass and insisted a piggyback ride would suffice. I was almost asleep on his back when he came to a stop. My lazy eyes took in the view around us.
