"SO FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE, and I got no place to stay. Show up at the door say, "'Scuse me, ding ding, front please, Eric Matthews. I go here. Where's my towel? Where's my room?" They tell me I'm not on the list." Eric slammed his hands down on the table. "Like there's a list!" He said, shaking his head as Anna rolled her eyes.

"Eric! I gave you the forms for the housing list three months ago." Amy stressed, making Alan sigh.

"Amy, go easy on him. Our son has a little mix-up in housing. He's home for a visit." He opened up a container with a smirk. "Cake?"

"Ooh, cut it for me?" Eric asked, making Anna playfully roll her eyes again.

"This is not a visit. He's back." Amy said in a sing songy voice, making Eric sigh.

"Why isn't mommy happy to see me?"

"Because she knows when you show up, you never leave." Anna mumbled, taking her plate of cake and leaning against the counter. Eric rolled his eyes at her, sticking out his tongue as she mimicked his actions.

"I am happy to see you, it's just sometimes you scare me. I mean, how're you supposed to do well in college if you can't even fill out a housing application?" Amy said with a sigh, making Eric chuckle as he spoke with his mouth full of cake.

"Oh, it's worse than that. Checked the wrong box on another form, now they think I'm an Eskimo."

Alan began to chuckle before amy raised her hands.

"I give up."

"Oh, go on. Relax your mother. Tell her your plans." Alan said, patting Eric shoulder as he nodded.

"Well, I thought I'd hang out here, this little housing snafu works itself out." Eric laughed, whiling out his baby voice before saying, "College is hard!" He stood up, high fiving his dad who smiled happily. "So, hoops tomorrow daddy?"

"You're on, buddy."

"I'll see you on the court, man." They high fives again before eric walked out. "Bye, mom."

"I'll be lookin' for you!" Alan yelled after him, as Anna sighed as she shook her head.

"We've lost him." She mumbled, making Amy nod.

"We've lost both of them." Amy sighed, before turning to Anna with a smile. "How about you sweetheart, where are you staying?"

"Well, I was gonna stay with Mr Turner til I find a place of my own." Anna explained, making Amy gesture to her as she turned to Alan.

"See, anna has herself together."

"Anna's not our kid."

"She might as well be." Amy said, getting up angrily as Anna and Alan looked at each other and chuckled.
