Part 23 - School's favorite couple

Red pov:

I'm so happy I got to spend time with my mom. I'm happy Chloe was able to come with me. It was an amazing day, but I am getting a little tired. It was dark out. I think it was a little past curfew. Chloe walked with me with her arm around my shoulder. We got to our room. Chloe closes the door behind us.

Chloe pov:

I closed the door, and as soon as I did, I could hear Red's heavy breathing more. She avoided looking at me. She was slowly pacing around the middle of the room as if she's trying to stop herself from crying. I could hear a few whimpers escape her mouth as she wiped a few tears. I walk up to her and handly place my hand on her back, my palm open.

Chloe: Let yourself feel, Red. It's ok to cry....

I whisper in her ear as I lean over her shoulder. She hard swallowed before turning around and hugging me around the neck. I wrap my arms around her waist.

Red: I don't know what I did to deserve you.... but I just love you so much....

She let out a little noise as she buried her head in my neck. I rub her back.

Chloe: by being you, Red.

I gave her a small kiss on her cheek.

Chloe: wanna cuddle to sleep tonight?

Red: Hmm.

As she nods. So I gently guide her to my bed. Still holding her, we both plot in my bed. I rubbed her head and back, and she let out a few more tears before falling asleep. I kissed her forehead and then also fell asleep.

Red pov:

The next morning, we woke up and got ready for school. We went down to meet our friends for breakfast.

Chloe: Hey guys!

We sat down.

Leah: So how was yesterday? I didn't see you guys at all.

Red: Yeah, Mal kinda made me spend the day with my mom or be expelled, soo....

Jack: Oh yikes, queen Mal is savage.

Mona: So what did you guys do?

Red: Well, we met at the courtyard, and she formally apologized about her other versions' actions because she was here during the entire presentation....

Leah: Wait, so she also saw the evil version of herself with the coup and everything??

I nodded.

Red: But I told her that it wasn't her fault. She didn't do those things, the other version of her... the one I grew up with did. But after that, we all went to Wonderland and had a fancy dinner.

Chloe: she did see us kiss, tho....

Red: Did ya have to mention that?

Chloe: Well, you kissed me, and I already know she is gleaming with joy watching us from the car, so...

Chloe sticks her tongue out playfully.

Red: Fine, I admit it was a cute moment.

I playfully roll my eyes.

Red: Hey Chloe?...

Chloe: Yeah?

Red: Did you want to go on our ice cream date for lunch today? Since it was canceled due to recent events.
