Chloe pov:

It's been a few months since Christmas, and it is now another school break. It's spring, which means we got our green grass and flowers back. For our spring break, I really wanted to bring Red to a zoo. I've been looking forward to doing this date idea for months, and now we'll finally be going. I mean, we've done so many date ideas since Christmas, like a trampoline park, arcade, go kart. There were so many fun things I knew she would love, and I was right she was always excited for a new date idea, but I'm the one most excited for today. I gently wake Red up from her beauty sleep as I plant kissed on her cheeks. She can't resist me.

Red: I'm up. I'm up.

She leans forward and kisses my lips before opening her eyes to see me above her.

Chloe: Good cause it's 9 a.m., and I wanna get there before 11, so we have more time to see all the animals.

So we both got ready, ate food, and got Red's mom to drive us to the zoo. It was about an hour long drive, which felt like forever. Even Red took a nap on my lap on the way. I was lo9king out the window as the sun hit all the trees right at the perfect angle. I love spring so much. It's so perfect, especially when everything is starting to grow back, and it's like this very light lime green color. Seeing nature and all the details makes me wanna swoon. Doon enough, we had arrived, so I gently nudged Red awake before getting out of the car.

Chloe: Don't you want to come with us, miss? It'll be fun.

QoH: it's ok, sweetie, I can just wait here.

Red: Can you please come, I don't want you to just sit here and wait for God knows how long, please?

QoH: ok ok I'll come with them.

So she parks her car and we head inside.

Red: Why are there cages.

Chloe: Oh, that's because most of these animals can hurt humans, so they are kept I their own environment space. The cage is only to let us see them.

The first animal we saw was a bear.

Red: That thing is supposed to be dangerous? It looks so friendly.

I giggles since it does look pretty friendly. I point at the paws.

Chloe: Those claws there are very sharp. Bears usually eat berries and such since they don't really go for meat. That's why they can be dangerous. They might not want to go after you, but they will if they feel threatened.

We walked some more and found a monkey.

Red: That thing kinda looks like humans, just not quite.

Chloe: Yep, people say humans came from monkeys from evolution. But it's kinda hard to know if they are true since it happened over so many years, but it seems pretty solid as proof unless they find something to contradict it.

Red: What's that huge thing?

I look.

Chloe: That's an elephant. They are really big. There's mainly 2 types, one is big, and another is smaller. They both got their own small differences...  this one seems to he the bigger kind.

We walked as we passed a few birds.

Red: I love birds. They always remind me of freedom.

Chloe: Do you have a favorite?

Red: I like crows. They are pretty smart and misunderstood. But I also like these colorful ones I see here. Hue mom, which ones is your favorite bird?

QoH: Hmm, I like so many I'd have to say flamingos.
