Part 53 - Christmas

Chloe pov:

It's been a few weeks since I proposed to Red.  After the fireworks show, I gave her the ring since I forgot I had them in my pocket. Her reaction to the rings was priceless. Soon, it'll be her first Christmas with me. I want to make it special for her since I don't even think she has celebrated it. Right now, we're walking out of class.

Chloe: Hey Red, have you ever celebrated Christmas?

The shook her head.

Chloe: Guess I'll be teaching you all about that next.

Red: What's next? There seems to be something almost every month.

Chloe: Well, there gonna be New years valentines Day, Saint Patrick and Easter.

Red: Wow, that's a lot.

Chooe: Yes, but they all serve a purpose.... mostly.

One sat down at the table. I couldn't resist the urge to start teaching Red about this holiday she's missed out all her life.

Chloe: Well, Christmas is about giving and receiving gifts.

Red: can't relate.... I only ever got one gift from my mom.

She then pulls out her looking glass.

Chloe: This year will be different. I promise. You'll get my gift, Red.

Red: she looks shaking her head as that couldn't possibly come true to her.

Chloe: Hey, I got an idea, Leah wanna go shopping with Red tmr since it's Saturday and help her get gifts?

Red: Who I am even supposed to give gifts to?

Chloe: usually family, spouse, and friends.

Leah: Don't worry, Red, I'm great at gift giving. It'll be fun, I promise.

Red: ok, I guess I'll give it my best shot.

Mona: That's the spirit.... Hey Chloe, can Jack and I also join you?

Chloe: Of course it'll be so fun.

We all waited half patiently for the next day to arrive. After getting ready, we heard a knock on our door. It was our friends all ready for shopping. Leah and Red headed out first.

Chloe: Have fun. See you guys later.

We wave as they head in town.begpre we left, I wanted to talk to them a little more.

Chloe: I need the perfect t gift for Red, but I don't even know what she wants.

Jack: I'm sure she'll appreciate anything.

Mona: Yeah, she said herself she only ever gotten one, so I'm sure she'll be so happy to receive another.

Chloe: That's it. I need a lot of gifts for Red. One for every year she missed.

Mona: That's cute, so like about 16?

I nodded and headed to town.

Red pov:

Leah let me right to a store a big one. Filled with decorations and knick-knacks everywhere.

Red: I don't even know what to get Chloe.... she's probably used to getting everything.

I pout a little.

Leah: Don't say that. She's happy to be able to share this holiday with you. I can guarantee you she'll like any gift you'll give her.... we just need to find something that speaks out to you.
