Red pov:
It was the next day, I woke up a little groggy. I realized I was spooning Chloe, my arm around her waist pulling her in. I lean over her shoulder.
Red: Good morning. I'm excited for today?
Chloe groans, still waking up.
Chloe: Don't tell me you still wanna go.
She drops her head into the pillow in defeat.
Red: Please, my princess, I want you to come with me.
Chloe: Find but only at lunchtime, ok?
She turns around and kisses me.
Red: ok.
I pout but still happy she was willing to go. I jump out of bed in hopes the day gets speed up. Dragging Chloe around. Class felt so slow. My patience is being tested. If we had gym time, it would've flown by, but no, I had math. I hate math cause I'm so bad at it. Maddox had major trouble trying to teach me that when I was little and even as a teen. For someone who practically counted her days stuck in wonderland, math is not my strong suit. I do well in English class cause I would read and write a bunch to pass time. But I get lost in my thoughts so easily without even realizing half the time that t
Evening it was lunch. Chloe wanted us to eat before going. I agree because I guess she's right about us not knowing when we'll be able to eat once we travel. We decided to sit outside only us 2 today. I'm eating and talking a little about the day spent with Lisa. I told Chloe that I kinda saw Lisa as my own cousin.Chloe: Awe, well, I'm happy you also like Lisa. She can be a little much at times, but she's a nice girl to hang with.
We finished our food, and I saw Chloe grab the watch from her jacket. I gently place my hand on her arm, making her look up at me.
Red: Do you want to do this?
I look in her eyes, making sure I see every detail in her answer. I need to know that she wants to do this genuinely and not just cause I want to. I love her, and I know that if she says no, I'll be ok to wait til she's ready.
Chloe: I thought about it. And I honestly got curious, too, but can we promise to stay close to each other? I don't want us to be separated.
Red: I'll be right beside you the whole time, I promise.
She then slowly gets closer, wrapping her arm around me as we both hold the watch.
Chloe: ready?
Red: ready.
We both took a deep breath and pushed the button. And we were sent of into the unknown. Once warped, we looked around us. A part of the school was crumpled, and we could hear faint crying nearby. We rushed over to find 2 kids stuck under the school. In a slight panic, Chloe and I quickly helped them get out. Once out, the kids looked at us shocked.
Chloe: it's ok. You're safe now.
Chloe gently patted their backs. One of the teens pointed at me.
Kid: mom!
The other kid quickly pulled down the hand, pointing at me. I look at them confused. The other kid noticed Chloe and pointed at her.
Kid: mom?
They both kept looking back from Chloe to me. I looked at Chloe to see if she understood anything. She shrugs, still as confused as I am. After a brief moment of awkwardness, Chloe spoke up.
Chloe: So what's your name?
Kid: I'm Isa, and this is my sister Avery.
Avery: Why do you look like our parents?
