Part 34 - The Ritual

Red pov:

I looked deep in Chloe's eyes, taking deep breaths with a serious look on my face. I need to know her opinion, I need to know if she's willing to have one sensory be pain. After a moment to process what I asked her, she finally spoke.

Chloe: Yes.

She said confidently, not breaking eye contact either. After a few seconds, I turned to Mal.

Red: Can you program our ring finger to feel pain?

Mal: Yes, I can. Hold hands, and I'll cast it.

Chloe takes my hand, rubbing the back of it. Mal casts the spell. Poof it was done. I look at Chloe trying to signal she should be the one to touch it. After a second, she got the memo and gently raised her ring finger and ever so gently rubbed it on her mark. We both winced in pain a little, but she removed her finger immediately. Mal and Evie eyes widen at our reaction.

Red: Well, it works. Ouchie.

Chloe: Sorry.

Red: it's ok. Did you have one in mind you wanted to do?

She looks at me for a moment, then comes right up to me. She then gently extends both her hands to the side of my head, almost cupping my head. Her thumb in front of my ears and the rest of her finger behind. After she got her hands where, she took a look and noticed her index practically right on top of the mark. She held my head for a moment before letting go, backing up and facing Mal.

Chloe: Can we have it so our index makes us feel like calm reassurance?

I raised an eyebrow at her idea. If it's what she wants, I'm just fine with it. We held hands and poof. I gently lifted my index and touched it. We both kinda sank in the calm feeling. I forgot I was still holding it as I got lost in the feeling. Chloe came up to me and grabbed my hand, slowly pulling it away.

Chloe: ok, well, it works.

She awkwardly giggles, holding my hand still. I kinda snapped out of it.

Red: I like that one.

Chloe: I can tell you almost fell asleep standing by the looks of it.

I blushed in embarrassment.

Red: Oh! Sorry.

Evie: it's ok, Red. Was there any more you guys wanted to add?

Red: I have another.

I raise raising a finger. I looked at Chloe with a smile and a slight devious face.

Red: Hey Chloe?

Chloe: Yes, Red?

She hums. I love it when she hums her words. It's so soothing.

Red: Do you trust me enough to add one you don't know til it's done?

I grin at her with slightly flirtatious eyes.

Chloe: Your face says I shouldn't, but I know you enough to know it can't be something bad....

She takes a deep breath, shaking her head, raising g her eye brows.

Chloe: Go ahead.

My smile grew so much. My face lit up with happiness. I wall over to Mal lean o er and whispered it to her ear.

Red: I want the last one to be the middle finger, I want it to feel like a love or flustered ish feeling. Is that possible?

I lean back.

Mal: Yeah, I can do that.

I smile, walking back to Chooe and golding her hand. Mal waves her finger ger and poof.
