Red pov:

I'm so happy Chloe agreed to go to therapy with me. I might not have been in the same room, but I'm so proud of her for talking about what she was holding in. I'm most happy that she was able to tell me. She said it was a secret she was keeping for my sake, but she learned that talking fixes a lot of issues. I was hungry, and it was suppertime. We walked to the cafeteria. Chloe saw something I hadn't seen before.

Chloe: I want you to try this.

She picks a spoon full and puts it on my plate. It was like a white ish mush.

Red: This is food?

I point at it. She giggles.

Chloe: Yes, and it's very delicious.

We noticed something we both hadn't seen in a while. It was steak. I remember when I first ate it the first or second day back. Without me even having to tell her, she grabs a piece and puts it on my plate.

Red: How did you know I wanted that?

Chloe: Because I remember your adorable reaction the first time you ever ate it. I'm hoping to see it again.

She says that last part, a little flirtatious. We then go to our table.

Red: omg I can't wait to eat this meat.

I dig in. It tasted just as good at last time. It melts on my tongue, and it's super juicy.

Leah: Wow, Red, you sure like that.

Red: it's my second time ever eating meat. Give me a break.

I continue eating.

Mona: second time?? How?

Chloe: she wasn't allowed to eat meat growing up.

Chloe then rubs my back.

Leah: There's a lot we don't know about you. Red.

I take one more bite before talking.

Red: Chloe knows me best, but there's still a lot, even if she doesn't know yet.

Chloe: And I'll wait patiently for you to open up to me. I hope I never stop learning about you. Red.

Red: We'll see.

Chloe: Food is practically your love language at this point.

She laughs. But what did she say love language? What is that? I decided to wait and ask her after supper when we'll be alone.

Jack: So, are you guys excited for family week next week?

Red: I actually am. I never thought I'd ever say that. But here we are.

Chloe: Me too. Hopefully, I can also see my brother. I haven't seen him much since we went to college.

Mona: So, does ur parents know you guys are dating?

Red: My mom does, but not Chloe's parents.

Chloe: I already know she was all happy and giddy in the car watching us kiss.

Red: Oh, why you gotta say that now that all I'm thinking about

I cover my face in embarrassment.

Chloe: Well, you're the one who kissed me so.

And Chloe then sticks her tongue out at me.

Jack: So when are you guys getting married?

Chloes face went so red so fast. Her face looked so guilty.
