Part 59 - Family

It's been 5 years since we became queens, and we've gotten busy with all of our new responsibilities. Chloe and I discussed a lot about our future and what we want to happen. We agreed to never break the watch. Since it's such an important item to us. I remember back in the day when I thought it would be best to get rid of it, but Audrey said I should keep it. We are taking a break from time to travel, but maybe someday we'll press the button and see what happens. Everything else seemed to have settled down. Chloe and I were then talking about adopting children. We have time traveled and saw our future kids..... but what if we find kids that are better? What if we can't even find those kids? I was very anxious about this topic. Chloe, being Chloe, was doing a very good job at reassuring me anytime I needed comfort. There were 2 options, really. We time traveled in hopes we land back there and see how and when so we could kinda get those kids or we just go and find kids like normal and just be happy with whoever we get even if it's not the same kids we met years ago. Chloe let me make the decision, since she thinks it would be best. We're drinking tea on our couch right now.

Chloe: it's your choice to make Red, I'm happy with any kids we decide to adopt.

Red: I know I just feel bad if we don't adopt the same ones. Something bad might happen. But at the same time, I'm worried that if we do something worse, it can happen.... you know what happened.

Chloe: we are not them red. You are your own person, and so am I. Our lives will not be like theirs, I promise.

Red: You really think so?

Chloe: I know so.

Red: ok then..... I think it'll be best for us to go blindly. I don't want to rely on the watch. I want us to do it the normal way and follow our hearts.

Chloe: perfect, well, go to the orphanage this afternoon and see if anyone captures our hearts.

So we got ready and headed off to an orphanage in Auradon. Once there, all the children looked at us.

Child: Two women??

Chloe then leans over to talk to the small child.

Chloe: Yes, two women can be mothers too dear.

Child: Cool.

Chloe then smiled as we continued to walk around.

Red: What if we sit and let the kids come to us?

Chloe: Hmm, that could be interesting....

In the room with all the children, there was a spot for grown-ups to sit. We both take a seat as we look around the room with smiles on our faces, waiting to see if anyone would approach us. After a few moments, these 4 children came up.

Child 1: so like are you guys like princesses?

Chloe: we are queens actually, we have been for about 5 years now.

Child 2: Are you guys married?

Red: Yep, for 6 years now.

Children: woah.

Child 3: ooh I have a question.

Red: What is the question, little one?

Child 3: Where are you from?

Red: Well, I'm from Wonderland, and Chloe here is from Cinderellasburg. We met in high school and then became queens of Wonderland together.

Child: I heard that place is scary cause of the jabberwocky.

Red: The jabberwocky isn't scary once you get to know them. I thought there were only 1, like a mythical creature. My mom then told me that there's actually 2. They met and fell in love and started their own family just like us.
