part 30 - family day

Chloe pov:

It's finally family day. I get to see my mom, dad, and I think they said Chad was also coming. Red was excited yet nervous. Since she's still sorta iffy on meeting my mom again but I assured her everything will be fine. After getting dressed and headed to eat. In the middle of sitting and eating talking with our friends as we all waited for parents to show up. I see hands cover my eyes.

???: guess who?

Chloe: Chad, that better be you.

Chad: Who else would it be?

I got up and gave him a hug.

Chad: Hey, I'm Chad Chloe's older brother. And you must be her friends?

Chloe: Not all of them, Leah, Mona, and Jack here are.

Chad: And her?

Pointing at Red. I look at Red for a brief moment as if asking for permission to say what I wanted to say. She nods her head in agreement.

Chloe: My future wife.

Chad: Is this like a game of sorts? You need a prince, Chloe.

Red: Don't disrespect your sister like that. That's not cool with me.

Chad: You look like trouble, a vk.

Red: Maybe cause I am one.

I see Red Square up to him. I grab her arm slowly, making her sit back down. I lean over to whisper in her ear.

Chloe: Just ignore him, love. His opinion doesn't matter to us.

Red: But he's being rude.

Chloe: I don't want any fights today, ok?

Red turns to my brother.

Red: You're lucky I love your sister.

She says in slight anger. Then, she turns around, ignoring him.

Chloe: Chad, if you can't be respectful to your future sister in law I don't want you here. I think you should get to know Red before judging her.

Chad: as if.

Soon, I hear a few more familiar voices. It was my parents.

Cinderella: Hello, my beautiful daughter.

I stood up and gave a big hug.

Charming: me too, kiddo.

And I hug my dad too.

Cinderella: How are you today?

Chloe: was doing good before Chad had to be rude and homophobic. I live him, but he does not understand love like you guys do.

Charming: Well, that's not very nice of you Chad, you're sister was probably excited to see her older brother.

Cinderella: Always be polite, Chad.

Chad: Fine, I'll back off.

My mom sits down beside me.

Cinderella: So who was Chad being rude too sweetie?

I point to Red.

Cinderella: Ah, yes, Bridget's daughter. How are you, dear?

Red: I'm doing good, miss.

Charming: I'm happy to see all your friends are here.

Chad: One of them isn't her friend.

Charming: Chad, please let Chloe introduce us to her group. Go ahead hun.
