Part 40 - Reunited

Red pov:

I saw my future self turn to me.

QR: I should've known you weren't too far from your precious Chloe.

She says, annoyed.

Red: What are you trying to do right now?

QR: I'm punishing my children for being a disappointment.

She then turns around to continue talking to them. I walk closer to her.

Red: disappointment? They have done nothing wrong. What are you even talking about.

QR: Oh please, they have been a disappointment since the divorce. Now it's pay time.

I then see my future self holding Chloe's sword. She then walks around Isa and lifts the sword up as if she's ready to strike them. I run up to her and jump kicked the queen as the sword gets closer to the kids' necks. The Queen went flying as she dropped the sword. I rush over, grabbing the sword and pointing it to her.

Red: I am not going to stand here and let you behead your own children. What is wrong with you?!

I say angrily. The guards got closer to me.

QR: Don't touch her... I wanna see what happens.

She gestures the guards to stand back. She gets up from the ground and starts to walk around me.

QR: By the looks of it, you're 17? So why are you even here.

Red: Isn't it obvious to stop you from killing your own kids.

I gestured to the scared teens.

Red: Why are you like this? I would never let myself be like this.

QR: Well, you didn't go through a divorce now, did ya? You didn't have your wife push you away and keep your kids away from you. You don't know my life. So stay out of it!

Red: No! I don't know your life, but I sure as heck never going to let myself be like you.

QR: On please, your 16 you'll change.

Red: I will never be like you. You turned into our mom. The one person we both never wanted to end up like. Explain that?

QR: Look at me! I'm literally your future self. You did this to yourself.

Red: No, you did do it to yourself. I have done nothing wrong, well, other than the coop, but still. Why are you like this? Just because you had a fight? Because your brain was corrupted by anger? That's no excuse for being a bad person.

QR: Oh, what do you know? Stop acting like you know more than me.

Red: I may not know more than you, but I know what, no matter what happens, I would never let myself ever get to the point you're at. I love Chloe, I won't ever let some silly fight break up apart.

QR: Well, sadly, that's what happened to me. I went to her and asked her for forgiveness, gave her a gift, and I was sent back home alone. I also wish that hadn't happened, but that's not the reality I live in!

Red: Have you even tried talking to her since the divorce?

QR: I did a few times before I just gave up.

Red: And why did you give up? If you love someone, you don't just give up.

QR: I don't know.....

The Queen walks around, collecting her thoughts. She then looks at the children who are looking at her with fear in their eyes. She sighs, looking down.
