Daniel was wandering around the Leafsilk kingdom.
The streets were empty since almost everyone was watching the tournament. To be fair he would be too if it wasn't for the simple fact that he hadn't seen Cricket since the argument with the others and it was nearly sundown.
Daniel was starting to get worried that something might have happened to her.
'After all, this place is full of Leafwings with grudges...'He'd been searching for ages, so much so that he probably missed the last two matches.
'I can't miss the finals though, I already regret not being there for Willow as it is, if I missed the finals too I'd be a horrible friend'
Daniel sighed to himself.
'Guess I better find her fast'"Cricket!"
Daniel called out loudly.
There was no response but his echo through the trees. At this point, Daniel had practically mapped the entirety of the kingdom from just wandering around and calling her name.
'Yet, she's still nowhere to be seen'He groaned worriedly, not exactly sure what his next course of action should be.
As such, Daniel decided to sit down and think for once.Daniel wandered over to a small hill and sat on top of it.
The setting sun shone on his face and gave a warm sensation.
There was no breeze or wind at all, which was odd, though he wasn't complaining. The sky above was clear, Daniel had a full and amazing view of the upcoming sunset.
Although, despite this, he didn't feel warm on the inside at all.He let out a deep breath of disappointment.
Daniel felt like a part of Cricket going missing was his fault and as such he couldn't help but feel really bad for not being able to find her.Daniel hung his head down in defeat and fatigue.
His talons hurt from walking nonstop for the past few hours and his throat was sore from calling Cricket's name a dozen times over.
In the end, he didn't know what to do next.
So instead, he just did nothing.
That was until he heard a voice from behind him."Hey, are you alright?" The voice asked, it was a male one, one he didn't recognise.
Daniel turned around, half expecting to see a random Leafwing or Silkwing but he was mistaken.Instead, a dark and warm oranged-coloured Hivewing greeted him.
They had dark red wings with spots of black every now and then splattered across their whole body.Daniel's eyes widened slightly at the surprise of seeing another Hivewing besides Cricket inside the kingdom.
However, his face soon returned to a more neutral look.
"Oh! I'm fine, I've just been... Looking for a friend," he explained. The Hivewing gave a warm-hearted smile which struck Daniel as slightly odd despite it being perfectly normal.
"Oh, well what do they look like?" The Hivewing asked."Uhm, They're a Hivewing, rather shortish, yellow and black... Female, wears glasses..." Daniel described.
"I don't expect you to know them though."The Hivewing nodded.
"Right, well maybe you could come back to my place to think things through? You look tired, and I've been told I make excellent coffee which could help"Daniel raised a brow, not exactly sure whether he should trust this random Hivewing.
'Then again, I am one of the most dangerous dragons in the world at the moment... So if he does end up being a kidnapper I could probably just kill him...' he looked down at the bag around his neck.
'Ah, screw it, what's the worst that could happen?'Daniel shrugged and got himself up.
"Yeah, sure why not, I could go for some coffee."The Hivewing smiled.
"Sounds good, oh! And you can meet my daughter while you're at it, she's really nice, smart too! I'm sure you'll get along great."
