Rudra POV -

What is it Bhadra?I asked as we walked to my room.

The prince is ready to help us. He infact sent out a communication to our spies, saying he is ready to help us in anything. But he is in danger Simha. He is getting desperate. The generals in favor of the king are behind him. He said seriously. I listened to him and nodded.

Alright, make sure our men tail him. Tell him they are there for the protection. Also tell Sudhanva to go there too, I need someone I can trust over there. I need the reports frequently, I ordered. Bhadra nodded and was about to leave.

I stopped him.

Bhadra, he turned.

You're ok right? he smiled sadly, nevertheless, he nodded.

Yes Simha, I'm alright, he said, but I could sense the sadness in his voice.

I know you're missing Kritika. I said, gently placing an arm on his shoulder. He flustered and looked away.

I chuckled at his behaviour and continued

I know Bhadra, but we're going there in a month right. I suggest you talk to her parents and get married too, I suggested. He smiled and nodded.

Are you going to talk Simha? About you and Saudamini? he asked.

It was my turn to blush and I nodded with a shy smile.

Yes. I just talked to Masa and Bapusa. They wanted to send the letter right now, but I convinced them to talk when we go to holi. I said and he excitedly hugged me back, patting my back.

Finally!!! I'm so excited! Saudamini will be so happy!! he cheered excitedly, as we sat there, discussing all the matters.

As days passed, my love for her only getting stronger by the day. We had finally received the invitation to attend the holi in Mohangarh, I was beyond excited. I was finally going to meet her and also formally ask her hand in marriage. We had to leave a day before, since Mohangarh was a day's travel away.

The early morning was filled with the buzz of activity. The palace was bustling with servants running around packing our things. Mother, bhabhisa and Tara took their seats in the ornate palki that was to be carried by four sturdy horses. Bapusa, my brothers and I mounted our horses, ready to escort them. The palace guards lined up to bid us farewell.

The journey to Mohangarh was known to be picturesque, with lush green fields and the distant mountains giving us company. The rhythmic sound of the horses' hooves on the cobblestone path created a soothing melody.

The journey was beautiful, allowing my thoughts to drift towards Saudamini. Her image was etched in my mind, her sweet laughter echoing in my heart.

As the grand fort of Mohangarh grew closer on the horizon, my heartbeat grew more intense. The anticipation of finally seeing her again filled me with a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Would she still feel the same way about me? Would her parents approve of our union?

These thoughts swirled in my head as we approached the gates.

The fort, a majestic bastion of strength and beauty, stood tall and proud. Its red sandstone walls gleamed in the sun, and the fluttering flags atop the ramparts whispered secrets of the battles it had seen. The gates swung open as we drew nearer, revealing a courtyard alive with color and joy. Damini's family, dressed in their finest attire, had gathered to welcome us. The sound of their laughter and chatter grew louder as we approached, and amidst them, my eyes searched for her.
