Taylor's POV

I sat on the couch by the window, checking my phone for the third time, even though he wasn't late. Travis had been mysterious about our second date, keeping the plan to himself and giving me only two hints: dress comfortably and trust him. I smiled, thinking about that playful glint in his eye when he'd asked if I was up for a 'trust exercise.'

I was dressed in a simple, comfortable sweater, a baby blue tank top and a white miniskirt, with some white adidas shoes. Travis had told me not to wear any heels, so I had chosen those. When his truck finally pulled up outside, I couldn't help the way my heart picked up. He stepped out, wearing dark jeans and a soft plaid shirt. I jumped off the couch, running towards the door.

"Hi Trav!" I smiled, letting him in. "Hi Tay." Travis pulled out a blindfold from behind his back. I frowned. "What's this for?" I laughed, taking it from his hands. "You'll see. If you're brave enough?" Travis chuckled, walking behind me to tie it around my head. "I trust you." I murmured. "Just making it clear. If I end up in a ditch, this second date is going to be quite short." I warned him, giggling.

"Oh, don't worry, I have standards." Travis laughed, taking my hand. I felt my cheeks flush as he guided me into his car, my fingers intertwined with his. I felt him buckle the seatbelt and get into the car seat beside me. He started the car, and I felt the engine start up, the car vibrating softly. We started to drive, and I tried to feel the twists and curves of the road, trying to figure out where we were going.

Eventually, I gave up, and sat back, just enjoying the ride. Finally, the truck came to a stop, and I was guided out of the car. Travis squeezed my hand gently before I felt him reach over to undo the bandana. When I blinked my eyes open, I was met with a beautiful open field dotted with fairy lights strung between trees, a large, white bedsheet was hung up, a projector sitting in front of it.

A picnic blanket was spread over the grass, and there was the quiet chirp of crickets as Travis smiled, watching my reaction. It was gorgeous.

"You brought me to an outdoor movie?" I asked, looking at him in surprise, my eyes wide, trying to take it all in.

He nodded, smiling proudly. "Thought it'd be nice to keep things laid-back, but, you know, still a little special. No-one knows we're here, so the paps won't find us. Plus, you mentioned in your texts that you like movie nights outside, so..." He shrugged, clearly pleased with himself. "Hope you like it."

"I love it Trav. This is the nicest thing..." I trailed off as he opened up a basket he'd brought along, revealing all the essentials—classic movie snacks, popcorn, even a couple of thermoses. As he pulled each item out, I felt a laugh escape. He was serious about this whole picnic setup.

"Wait, is that fucking hot chocolate?" I asked, unable to hide my delight.

"Yep," he said, grinning largely. "Figured it might get cold, so... I came prepared." He held out a couple of hand warmers from his jacket pocket as well, giving me a playful look. "You know, in case things get chilly."

I burst out laughing. "I never thought I'd see this. Travis Kelce, the picnic guy." Travis went bright red, shoving me playfully. "Oh, shut up." He handed me a thermos, laughing. I accepted the thermos, feeling the warmth of the hot chocolate radiate through the metal. "Honestly? You thought of everything."

He laughed, taking a sip from his own thermos. "Hey, I'm dating the world-famous Taylor Swift. Gotta make an impression." I smiled, meeting his eyes. "You've already made an amazing impression." I said softly. Travis took my hand and smiled, his eyes sparkling.

He handed me a little note that had a quote on it. I took it and my heart melted as I read it. Before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason. "This is the nicest thing ever Travis. Words can't express how much that means to me." I whispered, looking into his eyes.
