Travis's POV
The bass thumped through the floor of the club, loud enough that I could feel it in my chest, like my heart was syncing up with the beat. Around us, lights flashed in every color of the rainbow, but nothing, nothing, could compete with the glow coming off Taylor.
She was dancing, if you could even call it that. It was mostly swaying and spinning, her arms flailing in rhythm to a beat only she could hear. Her cheeks were flushed, her laugh louder than the music, and her curls were bouncing wildly around her face.
And she was drunk. Like, really drunk.
I couldn't help but smile, leaning against the booth with my drink in hand as I watched her. "She's having a good time, huh?" Patrick asked, clapping me on the back with a grin.
"Yeah," I chuckled, not taking my eyes off her. "A real good time."
Taylor turned toward me suddenly, mid-spin, and caught me watching. Her eyes lit up, and she let out a loud, dramatic gasp. "Travis!" she yelled, as though I were a thousand miles away.
I raised my eyebrows and stepped closer. "Yeah, babe?"
She practically skipped across the dance floor to me, nearly tripping in her heels before I caught her. "You-" she said, poking me in the chest with a serious expression. "Are so big."
I blinked. "What?"
"You're-" She held her hands up dramatically, measuring me as though she'd never seen me before. "Just... so tall and wide and... handsome." Her words slurred just a little, and I couldn't stop the grin that spread across my face.
"You've seen me before, Tay," I teased, wrapping an arm around her waist to steady her as she swayed.
She placed her hands on my chest, tilting her head up to look at me with the brightest, most mischievous smile. "I know that," she huffed. "But right now, you're... extra. Like a superhero."
"Oh yeah? What's my superhero name?"
"Captain Sexy," she announced proudly, her cheeks flushed pink as she giggled at her own joke.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "You're something else, you know that?"
Taylor gasped again, this time throwing her arms around my neck and pressing her cheek against my chest like she'd just had the best idea in the world. "Travis. I love you."
I froze for a split second, the noise of the club fading into the background. My arms tightened around her reflexively. "I love you too Tay." I laughed, my voice soft.
She pulled back, blinking up at me with those big, beautiful eyes. She punctuated her words by jabbing me gently in the shoulder. "I love you. I love your big smile. I love your giant shoulders. I love your stupid jokes and your perfect mustache and-" She paused, scrunching her nose. "Wait. Do you still have the mustache?"
I snorted, completely unable to keep it together. "I shaved it a month ago, babe."
"Oh," she said thoughtfully. Then, with a smile so radiant it could've lit up the whole club, she whispered, "Well, I love your face, too."
I couldn't stop grinning if I tried. There she was, my girl, tipsy and messy and completely, adorably herself. I kissed the top of her head, pulling her closer into my chest. "You're gonna regret saying all this tomorrow."
She gasped, pulling back dramatically again. "I will not! I'm serious, Travis Kelce. I'll shout it from the rooftops. Wanna see?"
Before I could stop her, she turned toward the DJ booth, cupped her hands around her mouth, and yelled, "I LOVE TRAVIS KELCE!"
