Taylor's POV

There's something about game nights that always makes me feel like a kid again, giddy, excited, and just ready for some chaos. But this game night? It was extra special. Travis had been planning it for weeks, texting everyone, Blake, Kylie, Jason, Patrick, to make sure they could all make it. We were going to have the best time, and that was a promise he made and, honestly, delivered on.

"Okay, babe," Travis said, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he set down a pile of board games on the coffee table. "Tonight, we play Codenames first. I'm going to absolutely crush you."

I raised an eyebrow, pretending to be unimpressed. "Oh, I'm so sure you will, Kelce."

"I mean it. You think you're good, but I'm about to change your life. This game will never be the same after tonight." He said it with such confidence that I couldn't help but laugh.

Patrick, sitting on the other side of the room, leaned over to Blake. "Watch out. Travis takes his game nights very seriously."

"I can see that," Blake replied, already snacking on the pile of chips we had set out.

Kylie walked in, smiling slightly as she watched Blake devour the chips. "Okay, I'm ready to destroy you all."

"Sure you are," I teased, winking at her. "Did you bring your A game?"

Jason Kelce walked in next, shaking his head as he grabbed a soda. "Is it just me, or does it always seem like we're about to have a competition on game night?"

"Because we are, Jason," Travis chimed in from across the room. "We play to win."

"Alright, alright," I said, raising my hands in surrender. "Let's get this show on the road, then."

Everyone settled in, and the board was set. I could feel Travis's competitive energy radiating from him, but I wasn't going down without a fight. It was just a game, but it was clear from the start that Travis had a very serious plan of action.

Blake and I took one side of the board, while Patrick and Travis took the other. It was a classic Codenames setup, two teams, with a spymaster giving clues, and the rest of us trying to guess which words matched. I immediately went on the defense.

"You know," I said, looking at Travis with a mischievous smile, "If I beat you tonight, I'm going to hold it over your head for the next month."

He leaned back in his chair, putting on his "I'm serious" face, but I could see the corner of his lips twitching. "You'll have nothing to hold over me," he said, pointing a finger at me. "I'm about to show you how it's done."

Jason leaned forward. "I've got to say, I'm impressed by the energy tonight. Game night has turned into a full-contact sport."

Kylie looked over and laughed. "This is nothing compared to my family's game nights I had when I was younger. You guys are going soft."

"Soft? Are you kidding?" Patrick shook his head. "We definitely have what it takes. Right, Travis?"

"Oh, you bet." Travis said, voice full of playful confidence. "This is my night to shine. Just wait."

The first round went by in a flash, so much laughter and so much questionable strategy on Travis's part. I had to give it to him, though, he was absolutely relentless. Still, Blake and I weren't backing down. As the game continued, the competitiveness really kicked in.

"Well, well, well," I said dramatically after I managed to guess one of our words right. "Looks like you're in trouble now, Travis."

"Not at all," he shot back, narrowing his eyes. "You're in for a big surprise."
