Taylor's POV

The sunlight crept through the blinds, warm and soft on my skin as I slowly woke up. The bed was large, and the space beside me was still warm where Travis had been lying just moments ago. I blinked a few times, feeling a sense of peace I hadn't known in a long time. The night with him had been perfect, simple, relaxing, with no cameras, no pressure. Just us, enjoying each other's company.

I stretched, checking the time. 9:30 AM. He had a game later today, and I didn't want to overstay my welcome. I started getting dressed, hoping to leave before his family got home. Travis had mentioned they were out for the morning, so I thought I'd be long gone by the time they returned. But, as I was pulling on my shoes, I heard voices in the distance, loud, unmistakable voices, echoing through the house.

Travis's voice was unmistakable, followed by the unmistakable sound of his mom's laughter. My heart lurched in my chest. No. No, no, no. They were home. Already?

I froze, panic spreading through me. I wasn't supposed to meet his family like this—not when they had no idea we were even dating. The last thing I wanted was for them to walk in on this—me, spending the night at their son's place, and him not having even mentioned it to them.

I stood there, completely frozen, trying to figure out what to do. Should I stay and face them like a deer in headlights, or should I just sneak out the back door like a thief?

Before I could make any decisions, the door to Travis's room opened, and there he was—sleepy-eyed but still impossibly handsome. He rubbed his face, clearly realizing what had just happened. His eyes met mine, and then his face shifted from confusion to a mixture of nervousness and amusement.

"Uh-oh," he said under his breath, glancing toward the door. "They're home."

I stood there, panic flooding my chest. "You didn't tell them?" I whispered, my voice betraying the panic I felt.

"I didn't think it was the right time to bring it up," he replied quickly, walking over to where I stood. "We weren't exactly planning to make an announcement, you know?"

I didn't know what to say. My heart was pounding, and I could hear footsteps approaching, the sound growing louder with every second. Travis turned to me, squeezing my hand reassuringly.

"Okay, here's the plan," he said, a forced calm in his voice. "We act normal. I'll take care of it."

I barely had time to process his words before the door to the bedroom swung open, and in walked his entire family, his mom, his dad, his brother, Jason, and even what looked like his wife, all coming in from the front door. The moment they saw us standing there, the looks of shock on their faces were instant.

"Travis?" his mom said, her voice filled with surprise as she looked between the two of us. "What's going on here?"

I froze, heart hammering in my chest as I stood there like a deer caught in the headlights. This was not how I imagined meeting his family for the first time.

His dad raised an eyebrow, glancing at the bed and then back at us. "We weren't expecting this. Not so early."

Travis, now visibly awkward, put his arm around me as if to offer a sense of protection. "Mom, Dad, Jason, Kylie, this is Taylor. We've been spending time together. We're... uh, dating."

There was a brief, stunned silence before the chaos erupted. Kylie, who was the first to recover, let out a shocked laugh. "Wait... this Taylor?" she asked, eyes widening. "As in Taylor Swift?"

I swallowed, my face turning bright red. "Uh, yeah... that's me," I muttered, barely able to look anyone in the eye. Of course, they knew who I was. Everyone did.
