Travis's POV

"it's been a long time coming but..."

Taylor rose up on stage, clad in tangerine sparkles, met by the crowd's excited screams and cheers. She was wearing a cute smile on her face, dancing in time to the music, the crowd singing in sync with her. Taylor had worked so hard to get here and I was so proud of her. Little did she know I was waiting to surprise her today.

I watched proudly as my girl performed, song after song, seamlessly transitioning between melodies. Eventually, she reached the song lover, strumming chords on her pink guitar. Her eyes found mine all the way from the stage, and she blew me a kiss, sending the fans into a frenzy. She held my gaze for most of the song, until the bridge, where she broke away to try and make eye contact with as many swifties as possible. That's what made the eras tour special. Taylor always tried to give each person their own, prized moment that they would cherish forever.

Taylor always tried to give each person their own, prized moment that they would cherish forever.

The lover set was coming to an end and my arms were already full of friendship bracelets that the swifties had gifted to me enthusiastically. "Are you ready Mr Kelce?" Taylor's security walked up to me, beckoning. I nodded nervously, shoving my hands in my pockets and following them under the stage. I had been planning this surprise for months, just waiting for the right show to do it at. Vancouver's energy was contagious, every single fan in the stadium chanting the lyrics at the top of their lungs, so I had decided to do it here.

I watched Taylor rushed down the elevator to get dressed into her fearless bodysuit, in such a rush that she thankfully missed me hiding behind her security. In less than 30 seconds, she appeared again in a gold, tasselled bodysuit, preparing to perform again. She gave a quick nod to her team, adjusting her earpiece. She grabbed her guitar, getting ready to skip onto the stage. I smiled at her professionalism. The music for fearless started playing and Taylor skipped energetically on stage, greeted by the crowd's thunderous cheers.

Taylor's team started to fit me with an earpiece, checking my sound system and attaching the cords to the back of my t-shirt. Taylor was beginning to sing love story, but through the earpiece, I could barely hear the crowd's cheers. It was all Taylor's voice and a steady metronome beat. "Ready to go Travis?" Tree asked me, shaking out her signature red hair. "The fans are going to lose their shit over this." She laughed. Tree guided me to the elevator, right in front of where Taylor would eventually end up. I climbed onto the lift, waiting for my cue. I got into my position, down on one knee, a box with a gorgeous ring in it sitting on my hand. I breathed deep, trying to calm my nerves. What if Taylor said no? Then I'd embarrass myself in front of 90,000 people. I shook the thoughts from my head, trying to focus on the moment.

"Travis, you're on." Tree winked at me. "Go smash it out there." I nodded nervously as the stage began to rise.

"He pulled out a ring and said..."

All the music stopped suddenly as prepared and Taylor stopped singing abruptly, and looked around, confused. She adjusted her in-ears, making gestures to her band and backup singers. All of a sudden, her face turned to pure shock as I appeared in front of her, on one knee, a diamond ring held out to her.

The crowd's cheers became thunderous as Taylor clapped her hands over her mouth, dropping her microphone, her eyes tearing up. "Travis..." she whispered. "Taylor, will you marry me?" I asked, the whole stadium cheering me on. I felt like everything we had gone through together was just leading up to this moment. Proposing to the most gorgeous, sweetest woman in my life in front of almost 100,000 people. She sniffed, her microphone on the floor by her feet. Finally, she nodded and whispered, "yes". The whole stadium exploded in cheers and squeals, and I stood up taking Taylor's hand. I slipped the ring onto her finger gently and swept her into a hug. Taylor buried her face in my shirt, wiping away her tears of joy. "I love you, Travis." She murmured. "I think I've got to get back to performing now." She giggled. I kissed her forehead and let the stage bring me back down.

"Travis, you did amazing!" Tree greeted me. "I'll get someone to take you back to the vip tent then." I nodded, still in a daze from what had just happened. I'd just proposed to Taylor Swift. Global superstar. A fucking icon. And she'd...accepted. I was engaged to the love of my life, and it was the best feeling ever.

The show ended, with Taylor blowing kisses to the crowd, showing off her new engagement ring proudly. She ducked under the stage, eager to see me, and ran straight into my arms. "I love you so, so, so much Travis." She whispered, smiling uncontrollably. She broke away and gazed at the small diamond on her finger. Taylor didn't care about money, I knew that, so I had gotten her a ring that she wouldn't get in the way of her performing or playing her instruments. "Thank you so much Travis." She kissed me sweetly. I pulled her closer, savouring the moment. "I would've done it soon enough Tay." I smiled, pulling her in for one more kiss.

"Alright, save it for later." Tree yelled at us from across the room. There were hundreds of fans watching us, waving to catch Taylor's attention. We both laughed, and I put one hand on her back, leading her into the car to get back to the hotel.
