Taylor's POV
The moment we walk into the kitchen, I know something's off. Travis's hand is casually draped over my shoulder, but my mind's more on the awkwardness that's about to unfold. We've barely sat down before Kylie's eyes zero in on my neck. I freeze. Shit.
She grins, a knowing look in her eyes. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Her voice drips with amusement as she stares at the hickeys on my neck. I hadn't even noticed how much they'd stood out until now. My skin feels like it's on fire.
I clear my throat, trying to act casual, but I'm pretty sure it's obvious that I'm anything but. "What?" I ask, a little too defensively.
Kylie laughs, glancing at Travis, who's trying not to burst out laughing. "Oh, nothing. Just wondering where you got those. Can't be from, uh, reading books together." She raises an eyebrow, and I swear the table could explode with the amount of teasing energy in the room right now.
Austin pipes up, his smirk practically glowing. "Did someone get a little carried away last night?" His voice is so deadpan that it's honestly impressive.
I can't stop myself from glancing down at the table, trying to hide my face as my embarrassment skyrockets. "Austin, shut up," I mumble, squeezing Travis's hand under the table for some kind of support.
Travis, who's been quiet this whole time, finally lets out a chuckle, clearly loving the attention. "Guess we got a little... carried away," he says, his voice low but teasing.
Jason looks between the two of us, smirking like he's already figured it all out. "You two were up pretty late last night, huh?" he asks. "Wondered what was going on in there. It sounded like a really good time."
"I—" I start to protest, but I can't even finish my sentence because I know how ridiculous it sounds. We both know it's obvious.
Kylie is practically bursting with laughter. "Please, you don't have to be so coy. We know what happened."
I groan internally, my face burning with heat. "You guys are insane," I mutter under my breath, my hands now gripping the sides of my chair.
"I think it's cute," Travis says, his voice smooth as butter. He squeezes my hand tighter, clearly enjoying the fact that he's been the one to leave a visible mark. "But maybe we should tone it down for everyone else's sake." His smile is a little too mischievous, and I glare at him. You have got to be kidding.
Austin leans in, pretending to think it over. "Nah. I think you guys should do it again, but maybe without the death screams next time."
I shoot him a horrified look while Travis laughs so hard that he nearly chokes. "I'll make sure to keep the volume down next time, buddy," he says, still chuckling.
Jason shakes his head, still grinning. "Can't blame you guys. But seriously, next time, take it somewhere soundproof."
Kylie, with a laugh that sounds more like an evil cackle, raises her mug of coffee and winks at me. "Here's to a very interesting morning."
I want to crawl under the table and hide forever.
Travis leans back in his chair, a smirk tugging at his lips. "You know," he starts, clearly enjoying this more than he should, "I might have gotten a little carried away last night." His eyes lock onto mine, and the look in them sends a shiver down my spine. "But, uh... no complaints here. You should've heard the things I was hearing."
I can feel my face turn beet red, and my stomach drops. My heart pounds in my chest as I glance around the table, trying to avoid everyone's eyes. This is bad. So bad.
