Taylor's POV

The test sat on the counter, glaring at me like it knew all the secrets I had yet to share. Two lines. Clear as day. My heart raced every time I looked at it, a cocktail of joy and nerves swirling in my chest. I'd imagined this moment for years, what it would feel like, how I'd tell everyone, but now that it was here, the reality felt almost too big to hold.

I glanced at the clock. Travis would be home soon, and we were having dinner with his family tonight. Perfect timing. If anyone could keep me steady during this whirlwind of emotions, it was him.

I tucked the test into a small, velvet box and slipped it into my bag. The nerves bubbled up again as I imagined his reaction, and I couldn't help but smile.

------------

Dinner at the Kelce house was always lively, full of laughter and noise. Donna's cooking smelled incredible, and everyone was already gathered around the table by the time we arrived.

"Finally!" Donna called out as we walked through the door. "You're late, Travis! And Taylor, sweetheart, you look radiant tonight."

I felt a warm blush rise to my cheeks as I hugged her. If only she knew why.

Travis guided me to the seat next to him, his hand warm and grounding on my back. Jason and Kylie were already cracking jokes, the kids were running around, and the whole house was alive with energy. It was the kind of chaos I'd grown to love, the kind that felt like home.

As we dug into dinner, the moment I'd been waiting for finally arrived. Travis's dad asked how things were going for us, and I decided it was now or never.

"Actually," I said, setting my fork down and glancing at Travis, "I've got some news."

The table quieted, all eyes turning to me. My heart pounded, but the thrill of what I was about to say kept me steady. I reached into my bag and pulled out the small velvet box, placing it in front of Travis.

"What's this?" he asked, a grin spreading across his face as he opened it. His expression shifted instantly, his eyes widening as he stared at the test inside.

"No way," he whispered, his voice full of awe. He looked up at me, tears already pooling in his eyes. "Are you serious?"

I nodded, unable to hold back my own tears as I watched his face transform with pure, unfiltered joy. "We're going to be parents, Trav."

He was on his feet in an instant, pulling me into his arms and holding me so tightly I thought I might float away. "Taylor," he said, his voice breaking. "This is the best thing you've ever told me."

The rest of the family caught on quickly, and the room erupted with cheers and congratulations. Donna was crying harder than anyone, pulling me into a hug and whispering how happy she was for us. Jason and Kylie were grinning ear to ear, already joking about baby football jerseys and future game-day traditions.

"You've made him the happiest guy in the world," Donna said, wiping at her tears. "And us the happiest grandparents."

Travis's hands never left me the rest of the night, his touch gentle and reverent like I was something sacred. Later, when we were finally alone, he rested his forehead against mine, his hands cradling my face.

"Angel," Travis murmured, his voice husky with unspoken emotions. His gaze locked onto mine, so full of love it made my knees weak. "You've just given me the greatest gift in the world."

My chest felt tight, overwhelmed by the raw sincerity in his words. "It's our gift," I whispered, my voice trembling as tears of joy spilled down my cheeks.

His thumb brushed away a tear, his hand warm and steady against my skin. "I can't believe it," he said softly, shaking his head as if he was still trying to grasp the reality of it all. "You're carrying our baby."

I nodded, smiling through the tears. "We're going to be a family, Travis."

He closed his eyes for a moment, like he was letting the weight of those words settle in his heart, and when he opened them again, there was a fire in his gaze, an overwhelming mix of love, awe, and passion. Without another word, he leaned in, his lips capturing mine in a kiss that stole the breath from my lungs.

It wasn't soft or tentative. It was everything, raw, fervent, and full of unspoken promises. His hands slipped from my face to my waist, pulling me closer, as if the space between us was unbearable. I gasped against his lips, my hands instinctively finding their way to the back of his neck, fingers threading through his hair.

"Do you have any idea how much I love you?" he murmured between kisses, his voice low and rough, each word sending shivers down my spine.

I couldn't even find the words to respond. Instead, I poured every ounce of my love into the kiss, my body pressing against his, my tears mingling with his warmth. His arms tightened around me, grounding me in the moment, and I felt my heart racing in sync with his.

When he finally pulled back, we were both breathless. His forehead rested against mine, his hands gripping my hips as if to steady himself.

"You're everything to me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper but filled with such intensity that it made my heart ache. "Everything."

"And you're everything to me," I replied, my voice trembling as I looked up into his eyes, seeing the future we were about to create together.

He kissed me again, slower this time but no less passionate, his lips lingering on mine as if he was savoring every moment. His hands trailed up my back, his touch both tender and electrifying, and I melted into him completely.

When we finally pulled apart, his lips brushed against my temple, then my cheek, as if he couldn't bear to stop. "We're going to be amazing parents," he whispered, his voice filled with awe.

I laughed softly, my tears now ones of pure happiness. "Because we'll do it together."

"Together," he repeated, his lips capturing mine one more time, sealing the promise between us.

The moment lingered, filled with warmth and an unspoken understanding that our lives had just changed forever. Travis held me close, his hands gently roaming my back, and I could feel his heart pounding against mine. It was as if he was holding on to me like I was the most fragile, precious thing in his world.

"I want to do this right," he said after a long silence, his voice steady but brimming with emotion. "I want to make sure you and our baby feel loved every single day."

"You already do," I whispered, my fingers trailing along his jawline. "Travis, I don't need anything more than this. Just us, together."

His eyes softened, and he kissed me again, this time slower, sweeter, as if to etch the memory of this moment into his soul. My hands moved to rest against his chest, feeling the solid beat of his heart beneath my palms.

It was a rhythm that grounded me, a reminder that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them as one.
