  Chapter 078

   Myra's point of view

Fear gripped me hard like a vice as I raced out of my room. I already told Linda about the room, she can go check it out if she likes or not.

I left her in awe and confusion when I suddenly stood up and ran out. Lucas is with Logan, and I need no psychic to tell me what he went there to do. Given the type of man Lucas is, even a child would figure it out quickly.

I've made it downstairs, and about to take the corner that leads to the basement below when a familiar face crossed my path.

I halted abruptly so I wouldn't bump into him and nearly fell on my face. "Excuse me." I tried to walk past him by taking his side.

He shifted pace and blocked me again. Okay this is deliberate, he's purposely blocking me.

"Get out of my way," I snapped at his face, as anger slowly creeped over me. This is definitely Lucas's handiwork, he doesn't want me down there.

He wants to murder Logan, and he doesn't want me to stop that.

"I'm afraid not, The King has order me to restrict entrance or movement around this premises till further notice," he spoke in a bored tone, barely affected by my rage.

"Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. My. Way." It was more of a last chance than a mere statement.

My eyes rolled around to scan my surroundings, and I took notice of a rod in sight. I can work with that.

He huffed, "And what are you gonna do if I don't? Try to fight me?" He snickered, "I wouldn't like to teach my wannabe Luna a lesson on why she shouldn't brawl with men thousand times stronger than her."

"Then I look forward to that lesson." I turned around and grabbed the rod in sight. Just like I was taught, I launched an attack with my free arm to confuse him with the incoming attack of the rod.

To my surprise, he countered both and held both of my hands still in the air.

Adrenaline kicked into my system as I sent my leg in between his leg. He scowled as he squeezed his face in pain.

The hold he has on both my hands faltered, and I took the chance to pull away and hit him hard with the rod in the head.

He fell down flat on the floor, unconscious with his eyes closed.

To keep him out of my way, I slammed the rod once more on his head, less harder this time so I wouldn't kill him. Not like he can die, he's a werewolf, the highest this could give him is a minor concussion.

"Yet it was the wannabe Luna who taught you a lesson instead on how you should never underestimate the weak omega with passion for strength." I glared at his body and spat on the floor near him in disgust.

I zoomed back in motion, hastened so my arrival wouldn't be too late. Hopefully nothing bad has been done to Logan yet. Because if he kills him now, there's a big chance it would affect me too since I've accepted to be Logan's mate.

I made it to the dungeon, and guards at the sight of me marched out to block my path.

Thankfully I still have the rod with me, and all they have is....

'Let me out, Myra. I can take them, I'm furious enough to handle this.' Salome raged in my head.

"What?! It's been so long I shifted, what if I do it wrong? What if I can't even? I can't let you out, you just have to-"

   'Myra let me out!'

I give in to her control as I felt my eyes shunned a bright blue. I dropped the rod as my muscles began to tighten and crack into each other.

I fell on my knees, palms slammed to the floor with my head thrown back in pain. I gasped as my bones twisted more and reshaped.

Furs grew out of my body as I slowly reformed externally also. And in no time, Salome's beautiful silver skin was out in the open.

She growled at the guards before she launched at them, I watched her tear her way into them and away from them in total shock.

Not even a scratch or hit landed on her till she made it past the guards and kept on running until we've gotten to the cell.

She howled loudly as we arrived at the scene in front of us, Lucas has Logan pinned to the floor below him as red particles like a visible energy flowed out of Logan and into Lucas's body.

   "Salome quick, let's shift back."

Salome ignored me and went over to knock Lucas away from Logan. Shit! Why would she do that!! She can't fight him, what makes her think she'd have a chance against the Alpha King. Cause it better not be her impulsive rage.

Lucas who hadn't took notice of us since we arrived looked at us in pure fury, his eyes all red and evil like I have never witnessed before gleamed with a sinister brightness in his eyes.

"Whoever you are, you can say your last words!" He came at me.

"Myra!" I heard Logan's weak voice before he fell to the floor, "Please run!" He cautioned.

Salome remained adamant as she stood her defense and ducked out of the Alpha's way to bite on his arm.

Right there where she chunked a bite, Lucas grabbed us with one hand and tossed us into the wall. "Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!" He chanted, anger at the base of his voice. "You are pathetic." His hand stretched out to me, and I felt our body stiffened.

Neither Salome nor me could move our body, it's like he had us trapped and frozen.

He closed the space that separated us in no time as he stood in front of us. "Whoever you are, have a nice afterlife." His hand came to my neck as he turned it around.

I felt my life force severed into pieces as darkness swept through to blanket us.
