Chapter 055
Lucas' point of view
It wasn't expected that she'd wake up so soon, Lisa had said to me that the coma would keep her until the blue moon when she's needed. How did she manage to break out of it?
I was shocked early this morning when the pack's doctor dropped by happily to inform me of an upgrade in my mate's health. I asked what about it, and he told me she's awake and has discharged herself, he said she's been awake since midnight even.
It was unexpected so I had to look for Lisa and have her fix this, or at least give an explanation to why her words didn't match the occurring events.
I reached out to her through a mind-link, and for the first time it was snubbed or rather not answered. Then I sent a maid over to her quarters to get her for me, the maid return with the news of her absence, told me she's nowhere to be found.
I knew at once that I've hit yet another hiccup, Lisa cannot disappear on her own, there's something off about her absence.
Since she wasn't around, I sent the same maid I sent to look for Lisa to fetch me Myra and decided to go wait for her in my office. However, as I arrived and gave the room a three sixty degree look, my gaze landed on my desk, the scattered files on my desk, and right below was a certain drawer punched open .
Someone was here.
It didn't take me long to figure out what the person came for. I instantly reached out to Neil through our mind-link to get me Myra himself and not wait for that maid.
Who broke in here?
I'd suspect Myra, but she just woke up from coma and hasn't started to doubt me just yet. She will start soon, it's inevitable, but there's a plan to counter that and keep her in place.
However, it seems my sister is cooking more than she should. The mess here wouldn't be past her, she must have wanted to know what I wanted with Myra and decided to snoop.
I need to get rid of her soon. She's becoming a bump bigger than I can imagine. I'm already working on how to cut her deal with what keeps her here on the mortal plane, and sooner than later she's gonna be back down the pits of hell where she belongs!
I belong on the throne. I am ordained by the goddess herself to rule her creations, and bring forth a unity with the humans. I've studied the humans to realize they're not to be trifled with, they're advanced in their own ways, hence dangerous.
If I'm going to introduce our world to theirs and bring it together, I have to make sure they have no say in it. They don't get to back down, they don't get to oppose, and they don't get to fight back.
I will become the world's savior, I'll build it in my perfect image. And nothing, I repeat nothing will stop me.
I felt Neil's presence in the room and I turned instantly to face him, his head was bowed and his expression seemed sour.
"Where is Myra?" Or did he not get my message? "Also what's with the look on your face?"
"It's about, Logan."
I rushed over to him as I grabbed his neck and shove him into the nearest wall, my fury gaze pinned on him. "What's with Logan?" The least I need right now is another bad news. "Start talking!" I yelled into his face.
His eyes flapped close in fear while his lips quivered, "H-he-he escaped, he- he took off while everyone was asleep," his shaky tone responded.
"And what are you doing here then? How did this happen? Weren't you suppose to make sure he dies?????!!!!!" I was furious. Arghhhhh.
'When you said nothing will stop you, I thought maybe you were right, but now looking at it, you're just a delusional psychopath,' my wolf taunted and my blood boiled faster.
Anger tore through my system and the need to see blood glazed over my eyes.
"I give you twenty four hours Neil, find Logan and fucking end him or I'll end you myself. Get out!" I released him and took a step away from him, my head still in rampage.
What is all of these?
How could he have escaped? Those Lycans I gave the job were one of the strongest in their field. I underestimate Logan, he's a formidable player but he's still nothing. Nothing!!!!!!!!
And Neil knew about his escape yet chose to return here instead of him to work on fixing it? Did he just want to get on my nerve or make my blood boil intentionally?!!!! Arghhhh!
'Aww-'
"I swear by the goddess, Deidre. One statement from you that mocks me or anything and you'll meet a fate far cruel than I plan to give to you!" My threat cut into his statement that forced him back to silence.
I'm just surrounded by fools.
I sighed, while I flexed my fingers through my hair in frustration.
Nothing good comes easy, I need to remember that and remain calm. It wasn't easy getting to where I am right now, it was hard but I pulled through, just like I would with reaching the maximum top at any given cost.
I could use my form of relaxation right now, and with Lisa gone, there's a thing left to turn to. And so I stirred to movement, marched down the passage that led straight out of the palace and into the courtyard.
To everyone else, this is just the control room, nothing more. However, there's a hidden button out of sight and when clicked, a part of the wall pushes in to reveal an entrance into an elevator.
I went inside and the elevator took me underground, where beneath the said control room lives a dungeon that housed an important asset of mine.
I wouldn't call it a dungeon because she has everything she needs down there, she's just not fit enough for the world yet. But to her, this might be a prison.
I arrived at her room. There she was sat on her bed with her eyes glued to her television as she enjoyed her favorite cartoon show, in her hands was also her favorite snack as she randomly chew on it.
"Hello Tanya," I called out to the little angel as I walked further into the room. Her head snapped back, and her eyes lit up the moment they set on me.Author's Note: I should have updated since, but I was having trouble getting into this app. Don't know if it was an issue on the platform's side, or my phone.
I'm just glad the app is okay now. Enjoy everyone.
