Chapter 064
Myra's point of view
I'm alive because I could breathe, albeit it sounded heavy and loud. My closed eyes snapped open to face my surroundings.
Was I back in coma? No this place doesn't seem like it. Or was this a different approach? Who will come save me now?
Everywhere was white, stainless and plain white. I looked down at my body and saw myself clothed. I'd passed out under the shower, yet woke up in a dimension that has me magically cladded.
Where is this place?
There was no path, no doors, no walls even. It was a wide space painted in white. Nothing more.
Was I in heaven? Then where are my parents. My skin tinged with a spookish sense.
A bright light shunned far from me, so bright my vision squinted in quick reflex. I brought my palm up for a shade as I tried to see what the light was about. Surely it'd have the answers to why I'm here.
The light was like a star, bright with gleaming edges. I motioned towards the light, my feet imbalance. It was quite a distance, and at a point; I needed to fully conceal my vision to avoid a blinded eyesight.
The light began to die down, I could feel it because the shun that reflected over my closed orbs became less sensitive. True like I assumed, I opened my eyes to the gone light and to a strange sight instead.
In front of me in place of the blinding light was a woman. She looked ethereal, stood tall, was so breath-choking I couldn't help my jaw from pulling apart.
Her skin wasn't exposed, but the part that was- like her neck, her face, and the back of her hands were silky and pale, so beautiful. She has the most beautiful features I've ever seen, a supple facials that gives a ravishing sight. She cladded a white gown, lined at the waist with a silver royal like belt with curved edges.
The gown adored her body in a manner so aesthetic I was smitten. Her long black hair wasn't out of notice too, lush and elegant.
"Who are you?" My voice sounded like a whisper, she's that mesmerizing. I'd name her the most beautiful woman on earth, except is she human or real? And is this earth?
I do know she's the most gorgeous human to exist. I don't think anyone comes close.
She smiled, "I could read just how fascinated you are by my appearance on your face, gratitude Myra." Her voice also did not disappoint, the tone greatly matched her face.
She heaved a soft sigh, "You've always wanted a fair chance, I have come to grant you that. Here, take my hand." She stretched out her hand for me to collect, which I took without no hesitation just so I could feel the softness of her skin against mine.
As soon as our palm came in contact, another bright light sparked from around us and shrouded us in a whole. When the light faded next, we were out of the white room.
"I'm Selene, a messenger from the moon goddess. I'm here to tell and show you all you need to know. But first, let's start with your past. This is the moment you came to life." As she narrated, we were in the room where my mother labored on a bed-like placement with mid-wives beside her to aid her a safe delivery, and my father present for emotional support.
I watched my mom birthed me, and to my surprised I shed no tears and my eyes were tightly shut. I looked at Selene, perhaps if there was any explanation to that.
"You were a work of divinity, your existence marked a great shift in cosmos," as she said, I saw my infant eyes' opened and lit up a blue glow. Illustrious, an eerie sight.
Shocked morphed on the faces of the mid-wives, my mother, and my father altogether.
"Quick, go get Alfred," my father ordered in a snap. One of the midwives ran out.
"Your parents learnt of your divine origin, that stemmed from your forbidden rank. To protect you and keep the secret, your father dropped his title and left the pack he brought together and created in the hands of a betrayal."
Logan's story wasn't a lie, not like I doubted it, but still it wasn't. The scene changed, and we were at the farmhouse I grew up in.
"Here your parents found the perfect settlement to protect your existence from the whole world. However, words had gotten out already that an omega was born and she wasn't sacrificed. Enemies from nowhere stirred up and came for you, but your parents would do everything to protect you."
I watched my mother hid me in a wooden cot, then shifted into her wolf to go join my father as they fought off a league of vampires.
"They could only do it for so long until a certain doom arise. The Alpha King, learnt of the devilish legend behind omegas. This legend speaks of how to weird the greatest power on earth and it connection to the omegas."
This story involved Lucas? How.
"To wield this power, you'd need the sacrifition of three omegas on an altar forged below the blue moon. Powers from The Great Darkness will sprout and devour your will, sure enough to transform you to the most powerful being on earth. The Alpha King learnt of this and began his quest for glory."
"He found himself one omega, created another one, and that leaves the room for the last one. Not long he learnt about your existence, and came for you. He had his men come for you, an order that left your parents dead and you back in the hands of your then-savior."
Lucas killed my parents????? I wanted to scream so loud and react so well, but that'd be a distraction to her narration. I'm stiff at the moment.
"The Alpha King's plan is a danger to the world. If he could wield the power drawn from the pits of The Great Darkness, that would mean the end of humanity. The start of chaos, havoc, and destruction. The Moon Goddess has to prevent that somehow, so she mated you with Logan, the only man on earth strong enough to protect you from him. When Logan learnt of his mate bond, that activated his psychic strength unknowingly and kept the Alpha King from finding you."
"However, the Alpha King knew about the mate bond and the Moon Goddess's hand to totter his plan. He worked a greater plan to get you, a means that has Logan hexed with a spell of distaste. He is to hate you for the rest of his life. Look at your front," she cut into her narration to let me know.
I looked and there was me, and Logan. I don't remember when this was, or what happened but Logan was bent near me and was taking care of me. There was sweet love and affection in his eyes as he tended to me.
I remember he said the work of his hatred might be due to his father's aversion for me, but he was wrong. This was all Lucas, all Lucas. He killed my parent, and planted a seed of hate in between us.
"You both had sweet moments, great memories. You knew you were his mate just like he knew at an early age. The Alpha King intercepted your love story and wrote you both a different fate, he wiped off the great and sweet memories you both had and made Logan turn a monster towards you. His spell was to break once Logan rejects you, which was inevitable. The spell broke once Logan has rejected you, and his true feelings resurfaced. You were never under a spell, you just didn't remember that Logan was a great man to you, he wanted you to experience the harsh fate so your own hatred back at him would be genuine and stronger than what he gave him to feel."
"The Alpha King then made himself your mate. You need to know you were never mated to him, and the rejection you had with Logan never took place. You're still mated to Logan, and you carried his mark because long ago you let him marked you as you marked him. The both of you just didn't recall."
The particular memory of us marking each other came to life and I watched it take place. Tears stung at the corner of my eyes, so it wasn't his fault? Is it cruel that I wanted him to be fault so my hatred would still be justified somehow, is it cruel?
"The Alpha King made himself your mate so he could access you easily, like he planned all along. Do you understand everything now?" Selene asked, as her head turned to face me.
I nodded at her, "I do, I do. Lucas is the real devil," I responded. It was shocking and it wasn't. Lucas is the real and actual devil.
