  Chapter 061

Logan's point of view

I'm going to regret what I'm about to do, but it was for her own good. This is to save her, and I prefer to live with her hatred than survive with her permanent absence.

The Alpha King was no safe man for her, he has her with him for his own selfish reasons and none of those reasons guaranteed Myra's safety.

She's immune to my control because of her past, a main past I'm aware of. I feel bad for I'm about to take away that memory from her for her own good. I hope when all this is over, she understands I needed to do what I had to do to make sure she is protected.

I'd make sure to arrive to our agreed junction ahead of her, there I waited for about ten minutes before the door creaked open and her figure came to view.

She wore a grumpy expression at the sight of me. I wasn't bothered by that, rather I'm just happy she came by to see me even if I'd lured her out.

I smiled at the presence of her, she has no idea just how much she makes me happy, and how much I'm willing to give up for her.

I had left my home, left my life, just so I can come here and be with her, ensure she's safe and get her to forgive me. Forgiveness doesn't matter to me more in all of this, what matters is her life.

Tucked finely and away at the noxious hub of her disguised knight in shinning armor, she thought she's gotten her happy ending. Whereas she hasn't, instead was signing her life off to a cruel fate.

"Start talking," she demanded in a harsh tone, standing far from where I stood.

I leaped up to walk close when her index shot up at me, "Don't even try to come closer, stay where you are and start explaining to me what is it you know about where I am from." Her prickly face matched her defiant posture.

I curved a side smile, I'm fine with anything so long as she's with me. "Your mother and father are both from Crystal Moon Pack, which makes you a descent from our pack. However, the truth I'm about to tell you is a heavy one, I need to know if you can take it?"

"Worry less about me, and talk more concerning me," she retorted coldly. Fine.

"Your father use to be the Alpha of Crystal Moon, and my own father was his beta. It all started after you were born. Your parents thought they could hide your nature and continue to rule his people in peace, he however trusted my father with the secret since he was his beta and has never given him any reason not to trust him, he told him about you and how he intends to hide the truth from everyone because you were his first child and he could not lose you. My father however, betrayed yours when he found out your mother birthed an abomination, an omega. He used this secret to become the Alpha and banished your parents along with you secretly out of the pack, he threatened to reveal their secret if they ever come back or if they try to come for revenge. He knew they wouldn't dare because they didn't want to lose you. To further make sure his reign remain intact, he met with a psychic witch who helped wipe the memory that explains your birth or their background off your parent's minds.

"Your parents left and that was the end of it. Until over a decade later when you dropped by at our pack in desperate need for shelter and protection. We took you because my parents were guilty of what was done in the past to you, they didn't accept you out of pity and rather out of guilt. And once the guilt wore off, they wanted you gone again. Except my father had found out I was mated to you." I looked at her and saw how keen she was on my explanation, she seems to be taking this well. Really well than I expected.

"He told me how I can't accept our mate bond, how a relationship with you is forbidden, he basically groomed me to hate you and reject you when you turn of age. Still yet I recall to liking you in private when it was just us alone, and treating you differently in public. Or did you not remember I use to do that?"

"Yeah I don't, and even if I do. There was no way the good things you did would overtop the bad stuffs you did to me." She hissed as she crossed her arms around her chest.

"Well I think it has to do with my father, I've never thought of it until yesterday. What if my father found out I was going against his rule and decided to hex us? I knew what he did to your family, he could have something else done to me. He could make me hate you for no reason so I'd start to treat you differently, and he could also have you hate me or might have wiped the memory of my good deeds from your brain."

She began to negatively nod her head, as if I had just said the wrong thing. Her index also lifted to wiggled in front of my face. "No no no no," she objected. "Believe me when I tell you this, the hatred I have for you is not the work of a spell or whatever you think it might be. You should today, right now that it is from the bottom of my heart, that originated from what you made me go through. And although your theory is believable, you might be right about your father hexing you to become a monster towards me, or how he might have took a part of my memory away, you might be right. However, there's no hand or magical touch to the hatred I feel towards you."

"But I am sorry," I pleaded in soft voice. I wasn't about to cry again was I? No way! Tears are stupid. I'd cry the last time because I wasn't in control of my body so I couldn't stop my emotions from secreting such fluids.

"Don't be sorry, it's useless."

"No! Have your revenge, hit me back, do twice of all I've done to you. Take your revenge, but don't discard my love, don't discard my redemption. Please, that's all I beg of you."

She chuckled, her eyes dark as she scoured me in a pettish manner. "In case you're yet to figure it out. This is my revenge. There's no hit back for a hit, punch back for a punch. However, there is pain for pain, trauma for trauma. You made me go through the worst type of emotional pains, you in particular gave me the worst traumatic experiences. This is my revenge." She looted another devilish chuckle as she began to approach the exit.

"I will be the one thing you want and will never get. I will refuse you the one thing you desire that is my possession to give freely. My hatred is my revenge, Logan. Sucks doesn't it?" She slid out before I could counter her words or give a response.

My jaw hung low and close to the ground. This is bigger than I imagined with Myra. I had hopes, and she just downright shattered them into pieces.

I was carried away with telling her the truth I forgot the reason why I initiated our meeting in the first place. I wanted to get rid of her mental guard, the blockage she has that prevented me to enslave her mind.

Did she really mean what she said though?

All I wanted is just a chance! I promise to prove her wrong, I promise!
