  Chapter 088

   Myra's point of view

I had to rush things with Zilahna and Selene. Soon enough I was placed into the pod that is to transport my consciousness back to my body down on earth.

"I'll be with you soon." Was Selene's parting words to me as she opened up the portal. I'm suppose to wake up on my body as soon as I step through the cosmic space.

I didn't know what to say so I just nodded back at her. Zilahna didn't come here with us, she just brewed the potion as quickly as she could and handed it over to me.

I heaved a deep breath as I looked around me for the last time. "Here comes nothing," I said to myself before I jumped into the portal and everything went blank.

   Cold.

   Extremely cold.

My body tinged with ice, crusted with severe cold. I forced my frigid eyes to blinked open only to witness a literal snow showering my room in a minimal blur. This is my room. I'm in my room.

Wait so Lucas didn't bury me? I thought he would. Why didn't he? If it's not over five days or six that I've been dead, I'm sure it's more than four according to Zilahna. So why is my body still here and not six foot deep in the ground.

"Salome?" I called out to my wolf. I tried to sit up, but my muscles faltered and failed me when the movement left a dreadful impact.

I don't know how long my body has been here enjoying the cold, but I'm sure if I was in it alive I would have been dead by now.

'Okay you need to get out. The cold is too much. It's starting to affect me,' Salome complained in my head too.

Good Goddess. She's back! I've missed her. It was me alone versus a lot of crazy shits in the past few hours. I'm glad to have her back.

   "Yeah I totally agree!"

I forced my muscles into motion, not minding the anguish that came with it.

Heavy breaths flew out my lungs as I drag and crawl my way to the door. As my hand slowly found it way to the knob, I took notice of my skin and jerked away in fright.

Holy Moon, I look like a hungry vampire who hasn't had any thing or blood to eat for like a whole decade. Jeez.

Pale is an understatement. I'm bluish mixed with white. I don't think there's any blood in my body.

'Okay I'll and heal us now because the more we stay here the more there chance we have of dying to excess cold.'

Wait I thought this is affecting you too? And that you're weak just like me right now?"

She didn't reply, but I did feel my muscles go into a jog, and as my strength slowly reformed and replenished.

She actually did it. She healed us.

"Whew!" I exhaled as I got up on my feet feeling more like myself now.

I kicked open the door as I walked out into the passage. "So what are we doing first? Do you think our mate is dead? We left him on his last breath-"

'Dummy. Can you not feel that the mate bond is still alive? It would have shattered if he was dead, meaning somehow he made it out alive. Let's follow his scent so we can know where he's hiding. Also try establishing a mind-link with him for easier locating.'

I did as she told me. Focused my sense of smell on Logan's scent as we took it as a lead to get to him while I work hard to establish the mind-link.

It's not working. It's like I send the signal, and he doesn't accept. Is he okay wherever he is? I hope he is.

I wonder how he made it alive. Though I'm grateful to the Goddess for keeping him alive. And wait, didn't I just left the Goddess. I'm not sure she's the one I should be grateful to, cause she did nothing to keep him alive while I was with her. Unless she has an assistant who run stuffs during her absence.

The scent led us to a cottage like apartment still inside the palace. I stopped walking when my enhanced hearing picked on a voice inside the house.

It was a female voice. I let my ears keyed in on the voice.

"That's a foolish plan. A really foolish plan. But whatever, I've chosen to be your side for better and for worse, I've picked you as my chosen mate so whatever you do do, I shall support you."

I recognized the voice once as Deena's. She's the only witch on earth who sounds like there's always a shovel hung in her throat. So annoying, I wonder how people would listen to her talk and not pray for nails to scratch at their hearing because her voice is worse.

I went into the house, and straight to the room where the voice stemmed from. There I met Logan laid still in a fixed position with Deena nestled next to him.

Logan's gaze widened when they set on me, and I saw him struggle to get up but couldn't.

Ah ah! No wonder this bitch could get super close to her.

"I've come to get my mate," I looked at the wench and told her.

"Excuse you, but you've got the wrong man. Your mate is back at the palace. Goes by the name Lucas or something, he's the Alpha King. Not Logan. This man right here is mine, and I think I've given him enough playtime with you," she responded as her eyes immediately glowed green, she stepped down and away from Lucas as she took a fighting stance.

"Now before I finish the job The Alpha King clearly couldn't get done and failed, let me suggest out of mercy that you get the fuck out of here," she articulated her threat calmly, rooted still in a position to attack.

Okay I can't fight her because there's no way on earth I'd take her in a fight. She's like trained beyond the core.

I took out Neil because I outsmarted him and he underestimated me. The trainings I've been taking with Mark were good but won't be good enough in an actual duels with people out of my match.

Gosh if only I actually have superpowers.

"I'm gonna give you until three. And if you're still here, then I'll be sure to skip your funeral. One...!" She began her countdown.

No. I'm not gonna leave. I'm not going to fight her, I don't care if she's going to best me. But I'm getting Logan out of her clutch.

"Two!" She growled, her green orbs slowly expressing rage.

I'm scared I'm not gonna lie. I just wish she becomes powerless that'll make this a fair fight.

Because I might be a werewolf, but I'm still an omega while she's a beta who has been trained her whole life to be a vicious combatant. In comparison to her, I'm fucking powerless.

She didn't bother counting three as she launched at me in a swift motion that pushed a punch straight into my gut.

Surprisingly I felt a minor pain compare to what I expect myself to feel. Also, the glow in her eyes has disappeared.

She charged at me again, and I observe how slow and weak her flex was. I was able to counter it and land a fatal hit on her.

She staggered backward and soon fell unconscious to the impact.

Since when did Deena become this weak? How did I defeat her so easily.

I ignored her and went to my mate. "Logan," I called softly as I sat down beside him, a smile on my face.
