Chapter 077
Logan's point of view
While the witch Lucas has with him casted the spell to redirect my psychic attack on him back to me, she was vulnerable and I took the chance to pinch a telepathic mark on her.
Soon as I was thrown into the dungeon, I used the mark as a medium to get into the witch's mind. And as expected, the inside of her consciousness was built in flames.
She must have fortified herself against psychics, to keep us out of her mind and head. I took myself to her subconscious instead.
There's always more than one exit to the mind, there are countless exits, with most invisible to all. I realized this with Lisa when I experimented on how to get rid of a victim's mental blockage.
I have to keep my movements in here subtle, cause any slip up at all might result into chaos I have absolutely no chance against.
If I couldn't pass through her main exit that was heavily guarded, I had to go through the subconscious to arrive at the base of her mind.
I was able to sneak in and get the job done without generating her attention, then snuck out to corrupt her mind. Now that there was nothing blocking me, it was easy to bend her will into whatever I wish or wanted.
She was actively working on the spell, was nearly done even. I couldn't allow that, so I made her destroy it and work on a false spell to lead the Alpha King on.
By the time her senses snapped back into place, I was out of her mind and back in prison. She'd have no idea what I've done, and would still think she's formidable against psychics.
I need to get to Myra and tell her the plan is now in motion, Lucas's witch has been compromised. Now that we're mind-linked, it's easier to reach her and I wouldn't have to rely on a telepathic callout.
'Hey Myra, it's me. Is everything fine with you?' I called out to her, anticipating her response.
'Logan? Yeah I'm fine, what about you?'
I haven't responded when I heard footsteps around my cell, and upon casting a glance. I saw the Alpha King right outside the metallic gate that kept me locked inside with a cold glare mashed on his face.
Oh no!
Myra was suppose to keep him busy, what is he doing here?
'The Alpha King is with me, he just came back here and he's now coming in. I'm done already with his witch, and the witch would be here any seconds from now.' I panicked a little bit as I explained to Myra.
The Alpha King has now opened the gate and came inside, his aura dark with a hint of wickedness in his gaze.
'Holy Moon. I'll be with you guys in a few seconds. I'm on my way right now,' she said, and cut off the connection.
I stood up from the position I squatted. "Stay back if you don't want your brains getting pricked and fried. I know thousand ways to eat a brain, don't make me try them on you," I warned as I stepped back and away from his incoming closeness.
He smirked and scoffed, "You really think you had the show with the stunt you pulled back out there right?" He chuckled, his tone darker than the shades to an abyss.
"Your powers are interesting, gives you the courage, the confidence, it's a nice little ability. A trouble for me Incase you don't know, I envy it." He probed closer.
I fisted my palms, I can take him. He might be the all powerful Alpha King every wolf has come to fear, but I had him on his knees minutes ago. I can do it now and take him out once and for all.
I sent out psychic blasts like I did the other time to keep his disable his stamina, long enough for me to launch physical attacks.
His face scrunched in reaction to the pain that descended onto his brain, as his hands went up to the sides of his face. Then suddenly his face went blank, as he dropped his hands.
"Yeah your little trick is outdated, never even worked on me. But I had an image to project, hence why I let you believe you have a chance against me," he said, and fear at the heard of his words caged me right.
"How about I show you a little bit of what I'm made of? It's nothing, and I promise you're not going to like it." He ran forward as he grabbed me by my neck and pushed me into the wall behind me.
His eyes turned red as he gazed at me like a maniac.
I tried to fight him off, threw punches at his gut, slapped hard on his hand, and sent kicks to distort him. All were futile attempts as he tightened the hand wrapped around my neck to restrict a perfect airflow in my lungs.
"I had to play weak in front of my mate so it'd be an excuse for why she'll find you dead when I'm done with you," he spoke into my face.
"I need no witch to survive your feeble attempts to make me struggle mutt. I am the Alpha King, and I shall take not only your powers, but your precious life force." He grinned like the psycho he is.
My body stiffened in motion as I felt piercing all over me, I felt my blood, muscles and all on my system slowly coming out of me.
What is happening? What is he doing? I can't feel myself, or even move myself.
"Don't be confused or scared. I'm simply absorbing your life force and your qualities. It'll be over soon I promise. It's usually a painful process, but because you're the mate of the woman I love, I've decided to pity you and make it painless. I'll make sure to tell Myra how much you loved her.... Nah I won't."
Is this the end? I can't die like this. I must not die! If I die then I'll fail Myra. I have to break out of this, I have to survive, I have to save myself, get Myra and run off to our happy ending.
I channeled every bit of energy I have left in me. "Arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!" I broke out in a powerful scream as I pushed my hand into his chest and tossed him off of me. My eyes glowed red, mixture of rage and power.
"Nice, this just got more intense and fun." He laughed he growled and let out his fangs and claws.
