Coming to her cabin back from the conversation she just had with Rohaan. Her mind a mess full of thoughts. Her mind puzzling with all the incurrent thoughts. Why did Irtaza hide that he was solving her father's case? Why didn't he tell her anything?
She decided to call him and get that conversation out of the way. That was the only possible way right now. Otherwise, her mind would probably make her believe something she didn't want to. So, she dialed his number and waited for him to pick up the call.
He didn't.
She again tried. And again. And again. He didn't pick up. And it made her even more angry. Not because he wasn't attending the call. But because the recent conversation and all the revelations that just had happened. She was already stressed about the case and now on the top, this does happens too.
In her frustration, she slammed her hand hard on the wooden table. A blinding pain erupted from her hand but she paid no attention to it. She sat down at the chair and leaned down her hand at the head of the chair. She tried to cool down her mind.
She needed to be levelheaded. She needed to think straight. She needs to think from her mind not her heart. Right now, she can't act on impulses. She needs to be calm. She poured a glass of water for herself and chugged it down in one go.
Her phone rang and she immediately picked it up without even seeing the caller id
"Irtaza!"
But the voice that greeted her did not belong to Irtaza
"Miraal. What happened?"
It was Almirah. And by tone of her voice, she look worried about something
"Nothing. How are you, ammi?"
Miraal doesn't want to worry her mother for no apparent reason. So, she muster her best possible lively voice and spoke up
"I just wanted to check up on you. You left in a haste. You did have your breakfast?"
Miraal's face contorted into a genuine smile at the concern of her mother.
"I did have my breakfast. Don't worry."
At her remark, Almirah spoke again
"Miraal, beta. You're taking care of yourself, right. I'm sorry if I pressurize you last night. I didn't want to hurt your feelings."
Miraal was immediate to reply back
"No, no ammi. It wasn't like that. Don't ever apologize to me again."
Her mother would never hurt her feelings. She was too pure for that.
"Ok, come home early today. I will make your favorite dish today. Tell, Irtaza to come home early too."
At the mention of her husband, her face fell a little. But she managed to reply back
"Sure ammi. I will not be late. Take care of yourself."
She hanged up the call after changing goodbyes. She placed the phone back on the table and exhaled loudly. Irtaza hadn't contacted her yet. She head down on the table and just closed her eyes for the time being.
Wanting to cool down her mind.

Irtaza sighed before looking away from the screen. It's been hours since he was working on the laptop continously. After finding Demir's name as one of the shareholders of the last project Taimur was working on, he was even more sure that Demir somehow tried to set a trap for Taimur.
