The valiant cries of Almirah could be heard in the whole house. After getting that damned call, Irtaza ran straight home. He needed to be sure that everyone else was safe. He had to tell everything to Almirah. He couldn't hide it from her. She was her mother and she deserved to know what's wrong with daughter.
After listening to Irtaza, Almirah broke down into tears. Her heart cracked. Dreadful thoughts started circulating in her mind. One by one worst thoughts started to conjure up in her brain. All the other family members tried to console her.
Even Saima was in tears too.
"Did he call again?"
Asked Suleman. Lines of worry creased his forehead. Irtaza shook his head. After that call, Rohaan hadn't contacted him again.
"What will you do now? Can we offer some help?"
Asked Hashim then. Maybe, they were all trying to lessen their shame and guilt or maybe doing it just by the goodness of their hearts, Irtaza wasn't sure.
"Arsalan and a police team is coming here. We'll see from there."
Irtaza so tried to keep his natural. He doesn't want to lose his wits too. He needed to be cool headed right now. Just then the doorbell rang. Rumaisa went to check and soon they all heard multiple footsteps entering in the living room. Arsalan had arrived along with a police team. As soon as he came, Irtaza explained everything to him. When Irtaza got the call, he rushed back home. He wasn't thinking properly.
"We'll find her safe and sound, rest assured."
Words of affirmation left Arsalan's lips smoothly. But it didn't provide the relief Irtaza needed. He wanted to see his wife by his side without a scratch, safe and sound. His heart won't be at ease until it happened.
"You can go and talk in my study. It will be quiet there."
Suleman offered. They nodded their head. But before leaving, Irtaza walked to the sofa where Almirah was sitting. He bent down at her level, looking straight into her eyes. The promise left his lips automatically
"Miraal will be back. I promise."
Almirah nodded her head. Her voice too hoarse to say a word. And with that, they headed straight to Suleman's study.

"I have a tracker installed in Miraal's phone."
Irtaza announced as soon as they were out of earshot. Arsalan nodded
"Is it still working?"
Irtaza nodded his head. That's why he was hopeful that they will find her. She will be back. He also was grateful because he just put the tracker in her phone this morning. And if her tracker was still on that means that her phone was with her too. Or maybe, it was lying in a river. He wasn't sure. But he resort to a positive way.
"We need to track its location. I also received a call from Miraal's phone. If we track both the phone location of that time and the location of the phone showing right now, we might be able to find her quickly."
He hopes so. Arsalan nodded his head and the team was on the work immediately. As the time kept passing, million different conclusions started to pour in his mind. Miraal hurt. Bleeding in an abandoned place. He was late in saving her. It consumed his mind like a plague.
"Don't worry. She will be ok. She's a smart woman. She know how to defend herself."
Arsalan was also worried. In the past months, although he doesn't met Miraal frequently, but she made a place in his heart. He considered her his sister. And right now, he may seem calm but on the insides, he was burning too. He was also worried for her safety. They both know how dangerous Rohaan was.
