As Miraal was getting dressed for the day, Irtaza came out of the washroom freshly showered. After the last night revelation, Miraal hadn't been feeling well. She was upset. She was in shock. She couldn't believe that she was deceived this badly. By the one person she trusted after such a long time.
It made her somewhat quiet. And Irtaza doesn't like the state his wife was in because of that good for nothing piece of garbage. He silently walked towards her from the behind and wrapped his arms around her waist.
He rested his head on her shoulder before kissing her cheek.
"Are you feeling ok?"
She just blankly nodded her head. Not sure in a least bit what he was actually saying. She was just going with the flow.
"Miraal, look at me."
Irtaza turned her around. She gazed into his eyes. Her once bright eyes were dull. There was no color in them. Like someone had snuffed the life out of them. And it angered him that Rohaan was the cause of it. He will destroy him.
"It was not your fault, sweetheart. He was a masted manipulator. You couldn't have guessed his sick intentions."
He tried to assure her. None of this was her fault. Rohaan was a cunning fox who knew very well how to trap his preys. Miraal was merely a pawn in his game.
"But I did feel responsible for all of this, Irtaza. If I had guessed that, then we would've saved those people who died."
She was talking about Jalal and Abrar. They were now absolutely sure that Rohaan was the one behind their deaths too. And although, they weren't good people, no-one deserves to die.
"I know, babe. But you can't blame yourself for that. We will make him pay for all the ruination."
He explained. She nodded her head.
"I'm sorry I confronted you. I should have been more sensible. I'm so sorry."
He passed a small smile in return. He cupped her cheeks before explaining her thoroughly
"I don't blame you for anything, canim benim."(My Darling)
He kissed her cheeks.
"Now, come on. Smile bright for me."
She grinned widely before Irtaza flicked her nose in a playful manner. She finally got dressed and took ahold of herself. Rohaan doesn't get to flourish by her distressed state. She needs to be stronger than ever before so that she can face Rohaan with an even more calculated and fair mind.
As they came down for the breakfast, Suleman and Hashim were not present. They had already left for the office. As Irtaza and Miraal sat down, Nisha asked Irtaza
"Hey, you came home late at night. Did you have dinner?"
Irtaza looked at her before responding
"No, I was really tired."
Nisha nodded her head before muttering under her breath
"What a dutiful wife."
Miraal who just entered inside the dining room from the kitchen heard it. She rolled her eyes. Typical Nisha and her typical taunts. She doesn't pay any heed to it and sat down beside Irtaza.
"I'm sorry I didn't ask you for dinner last night. I wasn't really in my mind."
She felt guilty. She let her anger do the talk. She forgot that Irtaza might have been tired last night and she just dumped all her anger and frustration on him. And it made her guilty. She shouldn't have done that.
