Maya tried to speak, but her words were jumbled, her body starting to convulse slightly.

Carina's grip on her hand tightened, her voice filled with concern. "Maya, look at me. Focus on my voice, try to tell us what's wrong."

Maya's eyes fluttered, her whole body trembling. "I... I don't feel-"

Suddenly, her eyes rolled back, and her body slumped, her symptoms intensifying.

Carina, Jack, and the others reacted in alarm as Maya's body convulsed further, a full-on seizure taking hold of her.

Travis cried out, sounding panicked, "Someone call the nurse. We need help here!"

Andy, trying to keep calm, took charge, "Everyone, give her space. We need to keep her safe from hitting anything."

As they frantically tried to help Maya, Carina's heart was in her throat, fear for her girlfriend taking over.

The doctors, alerted by the commotion, quickly rushed into the room, pushing past the group of firefighters who stood by, feeling helpless.

One of the nurses quickly assessed the situation and called out instructions. "She's having a seizure. We need to get her to a private room. Let's move fast."

As the medical professionals took charge, the firefighters stepped back, their worry evident in their expressions. The nurse looked over her shoulder at the group. "You'll have to wait out here while we stabilize her."

The group watched helplessly as Maya was wheeled away on a gurney, the sound of the wheels on the linoleum floor echoing in their ears. Carina was at a loss for words, concern etched onto her face.

Travis broke the silence. "What just happened? Why did she suddenly have a seizure?"

Andy said "Dummy she has epilepsy or did you forgot."

Travis facepalmed, his voice filled with regret. "Damn it. I'm an idiot. How could I forget that about Maya?"

The guilt in his voice was obvious. He should have remembered such a critical piece of information about one of his closest friends.

Jack placed a hand on Travis's shoulder, trying to reassure him. "It happens. We've all been under a lot of stress lately, and our minds can forget even the most important things."

Carina, her voice barely above a whisper, added, "But we should have seen the warning signs. Maya's been under so much pressure. Her body was begging for a break."

The group nodded in agreement, each silently reproaching themselves for not recognizing the early signs.

Ben spoke up, his voice filled with regret. "We've all been so focused on Megan that we forgot to check in on Maya. She was probably bottling up her stress, and that's what led to the seizure."

Andy sighed, her guilt evident. "We didn't mean to neglect her, but we should've been more aware. She's been under just as much stress as we have, if not more. We were just... so consumed with worry about Megan."

The weight of their oversight hung heavily in the air, unspoken but understood. They hadn't been there for their friend when she needed them most.

Carina's heart was heavy, the thought of Maya alone in a hospital room, dealing with the aftermath of the seizure by herself, was unbearable. "We have to be there for her when she wakes up. She's going to be frightened and confused, and she needs her friends."

The group nodded, their faces determined. They may not have been there for her before, but they were going to make damn sure they were there for her now.
