Vic, sitting in a gondola behind them, chimed in, her voice filled with amusement. "Oh, I doubt that. Kids have a way of hogging all your attention, you know."
The team continued to tease and joke as the ferris wheel spun around, carrying them higher and higher into the sky.
—————————————————————————————————————Maya laughed at Vic's comment, a mix playful banter and genuine amusement. "We'll manage, and we'll still find moments for ourselves, won't we, babe?"
She looked at Carina, who nodded in agreement, her head still resting on Maya's shoulder.
Carina, exhaustion getting the better of her, dozed off while holding the fluffy unicorn, her head resting against Maya's shoulder. Maya noticed her fiancée's tiredness and couldn't help but smile, gently resting her own head against Carina's.
Maya's gaze softened, and she looked at Carina with tenderness as she continued to sleep. She reached over and gently stroked Carina's hair, enjoying the quiet and peaceful moment together.
The team, noticing Carina's exhaustion, chuckled softly at the scene. Andy smirked, amused by the cute moment. "Looks like your fiancée fell asleep, Bishop. Guess you'll have to carry her around the carnival now."
Maya shook her head, a fond smile on her lips. "Nah, I'll just let her rest for a bit. Plus, she looks adorable with that unicorn."
She carefully adjusted Carina, making sure she was comfortable in her embrace. As the ride continued, Maya kept a protective arm around her fiancée, enjoying the moment while the team continued to banter nearby.
As the ferris wheel reached its final turn and the ride came to a halt, the team members began to disembark from their respective gondolas. Carina slowly stirred, woken up by the ceasing motion of the ride.
Maya gently nudged her fiancée. "Hey, sleepyhead. The ride's over. Time to wake up."
Carina groaned softly, her eyes still half-closed. "Five more minutes," she mumbled, snuggling closer to Maya and holding onto the unicorn tightly.
Maya chuckled, finding Carina's stubbornness both endearing and amusing. "Come on, Carina. You've slept through enough of the carnival already. We still have more fun planned."
She gently tried to peel Carina away from her, coaxing her to stand up and leave the gondola.
As the team gathered together after the ride, a collective realization surfaced - they were hungry. The earlier snacks and sweets had only done so much to satisfy their appetites.
Travis, rubbing his stomach, spoke up. "Guys, I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely starving. Any ideas where we can get some real food?"
Andy chimed in, her stomach agreeing with Travis' statement. "I'm with Travis on this. We need something more substantial than cotton candy and funnel cakes."
The team looked at each other, each person's stomach now demanding to be fed.
Maya looked at them and said "We can go to a restaurant what do you think my love."
Carina, still a bit groggy and holding the unicorn, nodded in agreement. "Restaurant sounds great, Bambina. I wouldn't mind a proper meal myself."
The team, hearing the proposal, voiced their approval. They agreed on the idea of going to a nearby restaurant for a hearty meal to fill their hungry stomachs.
Travis, rubbing his belly in anticipation, chimed in, "Great idea, guys. Lead the way to the restaurant. I'm ready to devour a full course meal."
The team started walking towards the exit, excited for the prospect of a real meal after indulging in carnival food all day.
