Megan nodded and quickly went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. Meanwhile, Maya took a few deep breaths, trying to steady her queasy stomach. The hormones were making her feel like a mess, and she just wanted this phase to be over.

Megan returned with a cold bottle of water and handed it to Maya, the condensation on the outside a small sign of relief from the nausea. "Here you go. Drink some, it might help a little bit."

Maya took the water gratefully, unscrewing the cap and taking a few sips. The cold liquid felt soothing on her sore throat, but the nausea remained, like a stubborn companion that refused to leave her side. She sighed, placing the water bottle down gently.

Maya looked at Megan "Where's Carina."

Megan noticed the concern in Maya's voice and gave her a reassuring smile. "She's in the kitchen, helping with the cooking and hosting responsibilities. She wanted to check on you earlier, but the others insisted she should take a break."

Maya nodded, a mix of understanding and disappointment on her face. "She's always so caring and considerate, even when she should be taking care of herself as well."

Travis yelled "Food is ready."

Maya, still tired and nauseous, felt a pang of hunger mix with her nausea. The scent of the food in the air was both tempting and repulsive at the same time, but she knew she needed to eat something.

Megan helped her up from the couch, her supportive presence a constant comfort. "Come on, let's get you some food. It might help with the nausea if you have something in your stomach."

Maya nodded weakly, her body heavy and exhausted. She allowed Megan to guide her to the table, where everyone was gathered around the assortment of dishes. The room was filled with chatter, and the sight of so many people made her head throb slightly.

Maya took a seat, the effort required just to find the energy to keep herself upright. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to gather her strength and fight off the nausea.

Carina walked up "Hey Bambina are you ok."

Maya heard Carina's voice, soft and filled with concern. She opened her eyes, her gaze meeting Carina's. Despite her exhaustion and nausea, she managed a small smile, grateful for her fiancée's presence.

Maya spoke, her voice raspy and tired. "I'm still feeling nauseous, but I'm trying to manage. I know I need to eat something, though."

Carina sat down next to her, her hand reaching out to hold Maya's. She could see the exhaustion in her fiancé's eyes and hear the fatigue in her voice. It pained her to see Maya suffering like this, but she knew they had to endure it for now.

Carina spoke softly, her voice filled with love and support. "I'm sorry you're still feeling nauseous, Bambina. I wish there was something I could do to make it go away."

Maya smiled faintly, her hand instinctively intertwining with Carina's. "Just having you here helps. It always does. I know it's only temporary. It's just... a lot sometimes."

Carina pressed a gentle kiss to Maya's temple, silently comforting her. "I know, Tesoro. It's a lot. But we'll get through it together. I promise. And soon enough, we'll have our little family."

Maya closed her eyes, the feeling of Carina's lips against her skin bringing a small comfort in the midst of her discomfort. She took a deep breath, steadying herself for the challenge of eating with a queasy stomach.

Maya spoke softly, her voice filled with determination. "I know. And I can't wait. It's moments like these that make me appreciate how strong we are together."
