Maya and Travis quickly exited the room, their minds already focused on the task at hand.
Andy watched them go, her gaze shifting back to Megan's still form on the bed. Her heart was heavy, torn between her duty and the desire to remain by her girlfriend's side.

Maya and Travis join Jack and Theo and Vic and Ben and Sullivan and Dean and Emmett outside the hospital and Vic said "Well how far is the MVC because we don't have any of our gear because it's at the station and we are three blocks away from the station."
Maya let out a frustrated sigh, realizing the predicament they were in. "Damn. We're definitely going to lose time going to the station to get our gear first."
She looked around at the team, her mind quickly strategizing. "But we can't show up to an MVC without our equipment. We'll be useless."
Theo spoke up, his expression grim. "We can't waste time. Every minute counts in situations like these."
Jack nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but we can't risk going in without our gear either. It'd be dangerous and stupid."
Sullivan, Dean and Emmett remained quiet, their faces showing their displeasure at the situation.
Maya pinched the bridge of her nose, her mind racing. "Then what are our options? We can't just stand here and do nothing."
Travis spoke up, his voice authoritative. "We go to the station to get our gear. It's only three blocks away. We'll lose some time, but it's the best we've got."
The team exchanged glances, knowing that it wasn't a perfect solution, but it was the only viable option they had.
Maya nodded, her expression stoic. "Alright. Let's move. But we have to be quick about it."
With that, the team set off, jogging towards the station as quickly as they could, their minds already focused on the task ahead.
They pushed themselves to move faster, their breaths coming in quick pants as they tried to minimize the time lost. The distance to the station, while short, seemed to stretch on forever as they ran.
Finally, the station came into view, and the team surged forward, their legs burning with exertion. They arrived at the station and quickly geared up, grabbing their protective gear and other essential equipment.
With their gear retrieved, the team clambered into their respective vehicles, each of them settling into their roles.
Sullivan climbed into the driver's seat of Engine 19, his hands firm on the wheel. Ben sat in the driver's seat of Aid Car 19, his eyes focused on the road ahead. Jack hopped into the driver's seat of Ladder 19, determination etched on his face.
Maya sat in the passenger seat of Engine 19, her heart pounding with adrenaline and anticipation. The sound of the sirens filled the air as the engines roared to life, and the team set off towards the MVC.
They weaved through the city streets, their lights flashing and sirens blaring. The team was silent, each of them focused on the upcoming call and mentally preparing themselves for whatever they would find upon arrival.
As the team arrived at the scene, Maya's eyes immediately landed on a familiar-looking car, one that seemed to be Mason's.
Her heart skipped a beat, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
She squinted, trying to get a clearer look at the car, desperately hoping her eyes were playing tricks on her.
Jack's voice cut through the chaos, his tone filled with surprise. "Holy shit...is that Mason's car?"
