Maya weakly nodded, appreciative of Carina's unwavering support.

Maya responded softly, her voice faint but determined, "Okay, Carina. I'm ready to go home."

Nurse Lena, overhearing their conversation, quickly wheeled a wheelchair into the room, positioning it beside Maya's bed ready to assist in transferring her into it.

Nurse Lena spoke with a gentle tone, her voice filled with professionalism and care. "Alright, Ms. Bishop, please take your time and get into the wheelchair. We'll get you down to your car as quickly and comfortably as possible."

Maya slowly slid her legs over the edge of the bed, the exhaustion weighing heavily on her. Carina placed a pillow behind her back to support her, providing steady assistance. Together, they carefully transferred Maya into the wheelchair, ensuring she was comfortable before setting off.

Once settled, Maya looked up at Carina, her eyes weary but filled with a mix of relief and anticipation to go home.

Carina stood beside Maya's wheelchair, her hand resting gently on her shoulder. She could sense Maya's exhaustion and frustration, the symptoms from the hormonal injections taking their toll.

Carina spoke softly, her voice filled with a mixture of love and concern. "Bambina, we'll be home soon. We'll make sure you're comfortable and able to rest. You can sleep the whole car ride if you need. I'm right here with you."

Maya leaned her head back against the wheelchair, a mix of weariness and gratitude in her expression.

Maya spoke softly, her voice a strained whisper. "Thank you, Carina... I just want to lay down in our bed... and sleep..."

Carina smiled warmly, her heart aching at the weariness in Maya's voice. She knew that sleep was what her fiancée needed most at the moment.

Carina spoke gently, her voice filled with a mix of reassurance and understanding. "I know, Bambina. We'll get you home, and you can rest as much as you need. Just focus on taking it easy, alright? I'll take care of everything."

Maya nodded, her eyes closing briefly as she allowed herself to surrender to exhaustion.

Maya spoke quietly, her voice filled with a hint of vulnerability. "I trust you, Carina. I know you'll take care of me..."

As they continued to make their way through the hospital corridors, Maya's exhaustion overcame her, and she drifted off to sleep in the wheelchair. Her head lolled to the side, and her breathing slowed as she rested, finding momentary respite from the symptoms caused by the hormonal injections.

Carina walked beside the wheelchair, her hand occasionally reaching out to gently stroke Maya's hair or hold her hand. She continued to guide the wheelchair, her focus on getting Maya home and into their own bed as quickly as possible.

Once they reached the hospital entrance, Nurse Lena assisted Carina in transferring Maya from the wheelchair to the passenger seat of Carina's car, which was parked nearby. Carina carefully helped Maya to settle in, adjusting pillows and blankets to make her as comfortable as possible in the car ride home.

Carina spoke softly to the nurse, gratitude evident in her voice. "Thank you, Nurse Lena. You've been extremely helpful."

Nurse Lena smiled gently, assuring Carina that she was just doing her job.

Nurse Lena spoke with a touch of empathy in her voice. "You're very welcome, Dr. DeLuca. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any further questions or concerns about Ms. Bishop's condition. We hope she rests comfortably at home."
