Maya groaned softly, the thought of more injections and examinations adding to her fatigue. "I really hate this part. It's like my body isn't even mine anymore."
She sat up on the couch, a grimace on her face as the discomfort in her abdomen flared.

A/N: Day 3 of FSH and Day 1 of GnRHaCarina carefully helped Maya up from the couch. As they started to make their way to the parking lot, Maya stumbled a few times, her balance still off due to the drugs' side effects.
Carina wrapped a supportive arm around her waist, guiding her carefully. "Easy now, Bambina. Let me help you."
Maya leaned heavily against Carina, her body feeling tired and weak. "I hate feeling like this. Like I can't even walk a few steps on my own."
The bitterness in her voice was clear, a reflection of her frustration with her current condition.
Carina squeezed Maya close, silently providing her unwavering support. "I know you hate it, and it's okay to feel frustrated. But just remember, it's not forever, and each step we take is bringing us closer to our dream."
She led them to the car, opening the passenger door for Maya and helping her get settled inside.
Maya sank into the car seat, her body slumping with fatigue. The pain of her symptoms, both physical and emotional, was beginning to wear her down. As Carina got into the driver's seat, Maya closed her eyes, trying to mentally prepare herself for the next day's procedure.
As they entered the house, Maya's attention immediately focused on the living room, where her sister, Megan, and her best friend, Andy, were cuddled up on the couch, watching television.
Maya's eyes widened slightly in surprise. She knew her sister and best friend were dating, but seeing them so cozy and intimate like this still took her aback every time.
Her first impulse was to say something snarky, to tease them and break the cutesy moment. However, the weariness and discomfort she was feeling from the drugs made her too tired to put up her usual tough facade.
Instead, she just managed a faint smile and a weak greeting. "Hey, lovebirds."
Andy and Megan looked up from the television, startled by Maya's voice. They had been engrossed in their own little world, cuddled up together without noticing Maya's entry.
Andy grinned sheepishly. "Hey, Cap. Didn't hear you come in."
Megan, on the other hand, looked slightly guilty, as if she had been caught doing something she wasn't supposed to.
Carina noticed the brief awkward moment between the three, and she shot Maya a warning look, silently telling her to behave herself.
Maya rolled her eyes slightly, but she heeded the silent warning. Despite her initial urge to tease, she was truly too tired and didn't have the energy for witty banter.
Maya felt exhaustion weighing heavily on her body and mind. The sight of her sister and best friend cuddling together had stirred some emotional turmoil within her, and she longed to escape to the quiet solitude of her bedroom upstairs.
She gave Carina a small, tired smile before turning to Andy and Megan. "I'm heading upstairs. Night, guys."
Andy and Megan exchanged a quick glance before looking back at Maya, sensing her fatigue and the tension in the air.
Andy nodded, her voice gentle. "Yeah, night, Maya. Get some rest."
Megan chimed in as well, a slightly concerned look on her face. "Sweet dreams, Maya. See you in the morning."
