Amelia watched as Monica walked away, feeling a pang of disappointment and confusion. She knew Monica needed time to process the situation, but she couldn't help but wonder if she had just ruined something special.

Addison couldn't help but notice Carina's uncomfortable slumber in the chair. She observed the way Carina was slumped in the chair, her head nodding forward and her body contorted in an awkward position.

Addison quietly walked over to Carina and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. She softly spoke, trying not to startle her. "Carina, you can't sleep like this. You're going to hurt your neck."

Carina stirred at the touch and blinked her eyes open, realizing her awkward position. She yawned and stretched, wincing as her body protested from the uncomfortable sleeping arrangement.

"Oh... I didn't realize I had fallen asleep," she murmured, rubbing her neck and shifting in the chair.

Addison gave a sympathetic smile. "It's no wonder you fell asleep. It's been a long day, and you've been through a lot. But you really shouldn't try to sleep in a chair like that. You need proper rest."

Addison looked at Maya, still asleep on the bed, a protective and watchful expression on her face. "Besides, I think Maya wants you by her side when she wakes up, not slumped in an uncomfortable chair."

Carina looked over at Maya, a pang of guilt and concern washing over her. She hadn't meant to fall asleep in the chair, but exhaustion had caught up with her. Feeling a mix of worry and tiredness, Carina said, "You're right. I should be beside her when she wakes up."

She stood up, shaking off the stiffness in her limbs and attempting to stretch out the kinks in her back. With a sigh, she walked back to the bed and sat down gently on the edge, her gaze fixed on Maya's peaceful sleeping form.

Addison watched as Carina settled back in the bed, knowing that her presence would bring comfort to Maya when she woke up. She spoke softly, the hint of a smile still on her face, "Take care of each other. I'll be back to check in you both throughout the night."

With one final glance at the two women she had come to deeply care for, Addison quietly left the room, leaving Carina alone with Maya, who continued to sleep peacefully.

Carina sat in the bed, her gaze never leaving Maya's face. She gently brushed a strand of hair away from Maya's forehead, her touch as light as a feather.

Carina whispered, her voice filled with a mix of love and worry. "I'm here, Bambina. I'm right here."

She reached for Maya's hand, intertwining their fingers and holding it as if to anchor herself. Time slipped away, the room quiet save for the steady beeping of the machines monitoring Maya's vital signs.

Hours passed in the quiet solitude of the hospital room. Carina remained sitting in the bed, her eyes half-lidded as exhaustion tugged at her eyelids. Her grip on Maya's hand never wavered, her thumb gently stroking the back of her fiancée's hand in a soothing rhythm.

Carina's thoughts were a mixture of worry, hope, and longing. She silently prayed for Maya's recovery, wishing for a sign, any sign that she was getting better.

As Maya began to wake up, she was immediately hit by a wave of nausea. She groaned weakly, her body feeling weak and exhausted, and she knew she needed to throw up again.

Carina's eyes immediately flickered open as she heard Maya stirring. She could sense the distress on her fiancée's face. "Bambina? Are you feeling nauseous?"
