Carina grinned, linking her arm with Maya's. "Absolutely! And Andy's paying for the tickets? Perfect. That means we get to play all the games and indulge in plenty of carnival food."
——————————————————————————————————Maya chuckled, squeezing Carina's hand gently. "I can already see your competitive side coming out. You're going to try to win as many games as possible, aren't you?"
Carina playfully bumped her hip against Maya's. "You know it, Bambina. I'm not about to let you win all the games tonight. I plan on showing off my carnival skills and hoarding all the prizes."
Maya laughed, her heart swelling with affection. "You're too cute when you're competitive, you know that? But I won't go down without a fight. I've got some secret strategies up my sleeve, and I'm determined to show you that I can hold my own on the fairground."
Carina's eyes sparkled mischievously as she replied, "Oh, it's on, then. The gauntlet has been thrown. Let the carnival games begin. May the best competitor win."
Maya chuckled, feeling the familiar burst of excitement and determination. "Oh, it's definitely on. You're going down, Carina. I'm gonna show you why I never back down from a challenge."
As they made their way through the ticket line, Maya and Carina continued their playful banter, each determined to prove their skills and come out on top. The fairgrounds buzzed with energy, the sights, sounds, and scents of the exciting evening fueling their competitive spirits even further.
Once they had their tickets, they moved further into the fairgrounds. Stalls, rides, and games of all sorts lined the pathways, each one promising a chance to win thrilling prizes. The vibrant lights, the laughter of other attendees, and the cheerful music filled the air, setting the perfect stage for a night of fun and rivalry.
Maya glanced around, her eyes scanning the various attractions. "So, where do we start, my love? Any game you have your eye on?"
Carina hummed thoughtfully, her gaze flickering from game to game. "Hmm, there are so many enticing options. How about the ring toss? I'm determined to win that cute stuffed unicorn for us."
Maya chuckled, her competitive nature already kicking in. "Oh, you want that stuffed unicorn, huh? Well, prepare to be surprised because I'm going to nail that ring toss and win it for us first."
Carina grinned, her eyes gleaming with challenge. "Challenge accepted. You may have speed and coordination, but I've got accuracy on my side. Let's see who can snag that unicorn first, Bambina."
Maya couldn't help but smile, her competitive spirit fully ignited now. "You're on. But don't underestimate my precision. I'm not just fast, I'm precise. I'll hit every shot perfectly, and that unicorn will be ours in no time."
They approached the ring toss game, where a row of colorful glass bottles stood on a table, and a variety of rings were neatly placed in a box. The game operator, noticing their approach, greeted them with a friendly smile.
The game operator nodded in greeting. "Evening, folks! Care to test your skills? Just try to land the rings on the bottles, and you can win a prize."
Carina, ever the confident competitor, shot Maya a sly grin. "Oh, we're definitely testing our skills. Let's see who can score the most points and win that unicorn."
Maya raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips. "You're on, Dr. DeLuca. I'll do you one better and win the unicorn outright. Just watch and learn."
Carina looked at Maya and said "So we have been talking about kids so are we going to get the house before we start trying or house before we start trying."
