Megan tried to sit up, but Teddy gently pushed her back onto the bed. "No, no. Lie back for now. You need to take it easy, let your body rest."

Maya watched from the side, her heart aching as she saw her sister looking weak and disoriented.

Teddy continued checking Megan's vitals, listening to her breathing and monitoring her pulse. She seemed satisfied with what she was seeing so far. "Your vital signs are stable, which is a good sign. But we'll keep you here under observation for a while, okay?"

Megan nodded weakly, her movements slow and weary.

As Maya was looking at the photo on her phone, Megan turned her head towards her, her eyes slowly focusing on her sister.

Megan's voice was weak, but there was a hint of remorse in it. "Maya..."

Maya looked up from her phone, meeting her sister's gaze. She could see the regret in Megan's face, the realization of what she'd done starting to sink in.

Maya shifted a bit closer, her expression both relieved and stern as she spoke. "Megan... what were you thinking? Why would you do something so reckless? You could have died, you know that right?"

Megan's expression twisted with shame. "I...I don't know. I was just...I was lonely. I wanted to feel something, anything..."

Maya watched her sister closely, understanding and anger mixing in her heart. "So you decided to take a bunch of drugs? Didn't the thought of how much you could hurt us, hurt Andy, or even yourself cross your mind?"

Megan's eyes flicked up to meet her sister's, regret painting her features. "I just wanted to feel happy, even for a little bit. I didn't think about anything else..."

Maya sighed, her voice a mixture of concern and scolding. "You can't do that, Meg. You can't use drugs as a way to escape your problems. It's not healthy, and it's incredibly dangerous. Especially when you don't even know what you're taking or how it will affect you."

Megan looked at Maya, a mixture of shame and guilt in her expression. "I...I need to see Andy. I need to apologize to her. I want to tell her I'm sorry for everything, for what I did, and for being so reckless."

Maya nodded, still upset but understanding her sister's need to make amends. "I'll go get her. But you have to promise me that from now on, you'll talk to us before you do anything stupid again. No more drugs, okay?"

Megan nodded weakly. "Okay. I promise. I'll never do anything like this again. I'm so sorry, Maya... for everything..."

Maya looked at her sister, seeing the regret in her eyes. "We'll get through this, Meg. But you have to trust us, and let us help you."
