Maya and Carina nodded in agreement, their hands still intertwined.

Maya spoke, her voice filled with hope. "Thank you. We'll be waiting and hoping for the best. Have a great day."

With that, they bid farewell to Jennifer, their hearts filled with a mix of anticipation and nerves as they left the property. They had done all they could, and now it was a waiting game.

As they walked back to their car, the silence between them was charged with the weight of their decision. They were both silent, their thoughts swirling around the house, the bid, and the future that lay ahead.

Maya glanced sidelong at Carina, noticing her quiet demeanor. She gently squeezed her hand, a silent question in her eyes.

Carina looked back at her, a bit lost in her contemplations. She forced a small smile, her voice soft. "Just thinking, that's all."

Maya stopped, her hand tugging Carina gently to face her. Her eyes searched Carina's face. "What's on your mind?"

Carina fidgeted with her engagement ring again, a habit that betrayed her nerves.

She sighed, her voice a whisper. "I'm just... trying to wrap my head around everything. The house, the bidding, the process... it's all a bit overwhelming, you know? And part of me is worried that maybe we've missed something, or maybe we're not fully prepared for all of this."

Maya smiled softly, her eyes filled with understanding. She stepped closer, holding both of Carina's hands.

Her voice was gentle. "It's normal to feel that way, especially with something as big as buying a house. But we've done our research, and we've done all we can do. The rest is just out of our control. And we can handle whatever comes our way, together. You know that, right?"

Carina's shoulders relaxed a bit, her fingers intertwining with Maya's. The weight of her worries seemed to lessen with each word of reassurance.

Carina nodded, a bit of her usual confidence returning. "Yeah, I know. I just... I guess I just want everything to be perfect, you know? This is our future, and I don't want to mess it up."

As they continued walking towards their car, Maya began to feel the drain of her epilepsy symptoms. Her vision was slightly hazy, and a soft buzzing sound filled her ears, a common symptom for her.

Maya tried to hide her growing tiredness, blinking rapidly to clear her vision and shaking her head to get rid of the buzzing sound. She didn't want to worry Carina any more than she already was, but it was becoming harder to keep it hidden.

Despite her best efforts to mask her symptoms, Carina knew her fiancé well. She noticed the subtle signs of Maya's exhaustion, the slight tremors in her movements, the blinking that seemed a bit more frequent than usual.

Carina gently touched Maya's arm, making her stop. "Maya, are you feeling okay? You look a little tired."

Maya tried to brush it off, forcing a small smile. "I'm fine, just a bit tired. It's been a long day, that's all."

But her shaky hands betrayed her words, and the buzzing in her ears was getting louder. She closed her eyes, taking a deep, steadying breath.

Carina's expression changed from concern to worry. "I think it's more than just being tired. Your hand is shaking, and you seem disoriented. Don't try to hide it, Maya. I know when you're not okay."

Maya opened her eyes, her weariness visible now. She hated how this condition made her feel vulnerable, hated the worry it put on Carina's face. But she knew she couldn't hide it, not from her.
