Chapter 50

I finally finished, it looks beautiful. I stood proud before the wall, looking at the koi fish pond. It was now the next morning, I worked on it the entire night.

Since it being 6 in the morning, I went downstairs for breakfast. Today, I am going out with Enzo, to where you might wonder? I have no idea, he said that it is a surprise. Diego, my bodyguard, will be coming with us two. After finding out he was the one who put the rose and letter down on the present table, I am going to be very cautious.

For breakfast, we have avocado toast with a sliced up hard boiled egg on top.

We all talked about random stuff at the table, Antonio's pink hair started fading a bit. "I see pink is starting to fade" I say to Antonio, smiling at that memory. "Yes and you are helping me to dye it back brown." Antonio said pointing his finger to me. "Fine" I pout. I remember at the ball, he tried to hide it, he got these temporarily hair colour spray bottle, since there wasn't enough time to dye it back to brown.

When breakfast was over I want to change for the date Enzo planned, he said to dress casual. So I looked through my closet and picked a tight black long sleeve shirt and a mid thigh black skirt. I decided to leave the blazer since it isn't that cold outside. I got some black platform boots as well.

I hid a few knives in the sides of my boots. "Alexis, Enzo is here!" My dad yelled form downstairs. "Coming!" I yelled back and rush out my bedroom.

I walk down the stairs, Enzo wore a grey shirt with black pants and white shoes.

I got down at the bottom of the stairs and stood next to him. "You look beautiful" Enzo says, making me blush. "Thank you, you don't look bad yourself" I say.

After Enzo and my dad talked, we headed outside to his car. He opens my side of the door and I say thank you while climbing in. He rushed around the car to his side and climbs in.

As we were about to arrive, he told me to close my eyes, I hesitated but put my hands over my eyes, I hear his door shut. I sat in silence for a bit before I hear my door opening. Enzo held my arm guiding me to wherever he is taking me. He stopped me, I'm guessing we are at the destination. "Okay opened your eyes" Enzo said and I pull my hands away from my eyes. I look around and it was beautiful. In front of me there is a river and on the other side was an Italian structure.

"It is beautiful" I say as I looked around. "I thought that you would love it here" Enzo said next to me. I nod my head.

__Carlos's pov__

I looked at them from afar, Enzo is a name he came up with, his real name is Nicolo Gomez. He is an assassin who I sent to get to know the Romano's a few years ago, to be friends with Ricardo's sons.

From what he told me since Alexis was back with her biological family, she is Black heart, the number one Mafia leader, a street racer and a street fighter. I would say I was a bit surprised by that information.

Alexis stood there admiring the place, Nicolo caught my eye and gave one single stern nod, saying the plan is going good. I gave one nod back to him from across the river.

A bodyguard is with them. Diego, Alexis's bodyguard, one of Ricardo's most trusted men. He has black hair, tanned skin and is about 6.5.

Nicolo has planned to set up a picnic with fruit and pastries. But instead of poisoning the food, Nicolo insisted that we plant a gas releasing device that goes off with just one click of a button on a remote, a remote that I have. This gas contains chemicals that would knock out a person in a matter of seconds. Nicolo has a gas mask that is hidden under some leaves near the picnic blanket.

I planned to get Diego distracted, with a prerecored phone call. A phone call that contains a recording that I created. The recording consists of Ricardo's voice saying that there is an emergency and he is needed. Just to get him away for a few minutes.

__Alexis's pov__

I looked at Enzo as he nodded to someone.

There's something fishy going on here, I can tell. There is a pit in my stomach, more of a gut feeling.

I jump a bit hearing my phone ringing. I excuse myself and walked a bit far away from Enzo.

Marco was calling, I picked up. "Hi, is everything okay?" I asked but got interrupted as I finished that sentence. "Get out of there now and get back home as soon as possible. Diego is driving you, not Enzo." He said panicked. "What is happening?" I ask starting to panic. "Carlos is there, we found out last minute. Get out of there." He warns me. "Okay but you are explaining when I get home." I said and hung up. Carlo is here with Enzo?

I walked back thinking of an excuse to leave. "Hey Enzo, I have to go, my friend's boyfriend broke up with her and I told her that I would be there in a few minutes. Sorry for ending this so quickly." I say as I approach him. "It's fine, do you want me to drive you to her?" He asked. "No, it's fine. Diego will drop me off at her place" I refuse. He stood up and started walking towards me. "Are you sure you don't want me to drop you off?" He asks again. "Yeah I'm sure, Enzo."

__Enzo's pov__

"Yeah, I'm sure, Enzo" Alexis says. I hear Carlos through my earpiece. "I think she knows the plan, drop it. We'll get a chance next time." I told Alexis that it's fine. She and Diego started to walk away.

__Alexis's pov__

He let's me go, I walked off with Diego to his black SUV and climbed into the car.

When we got home, mom told me that they are in dad's office. I thanked her and walked to my dad's office, Diego following behind me. I pushed open the doors of my dad's office and walked in. "I'm home, now can someone explain to me what is going on?" I say looking at all of them.
