3RD PERSON POV.
The hospital room was quiet, the only sound the rhythmic beeping of machines. Glaiza and Eduardo stood in the doorway, their faces reflecting a mixture of relief and horror. Eliana lay in the bed, pale and still, her breathing shallow. Jaiden sat in a chair nearby, his face bruised and swollen, his eyes filled with a mixture of guilt and fear.
Glaiza's first instinct was to attack him, but Eduardo stopped her with a hand on her arm.
"We need answers," Eduardo said, his voice low and steady. "What happened?"
Jaiden looked up, his gaze avoiding Glaiza's tear-filled eyes. "It was an accident," he stammered. "A misunderstanding."
Glaiza's hand shot out, slapping him hard across the face. "An accident? My daughter is lying here, bleeding, because of you!" Her voice cracked with grief and anger. Eduardo held her back, his own fury simmering beneath the surface. He needed to know the truth, no matter how painful it might be.
"She caught... She caught Alexis kissing me. But believe me, I didn't like that... I—" Jaiden's voice cracked, the words catching in his throat. He buried his face in his hands, his shoulders shaking with silent sobs. "I pushed her away," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I swear. I never wanted this. I love Eliana. More than anything." His confession was raw, vulnerable, a desperate plea for forgiveness that might be too late. "I'm sorry for being an irresponsible boyfriend and almost a father of our child..." he whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of regret and shame.
Glaiza can't believe what she heard. Her heart raced as disbelief mingled with fury. How could he be so flippant about such a betrayal? She turned sharply, her breath hitching in her throat, and stormed out of the room to calm herself. Each step felt like a battle against the whirlwind of emotions threatening to consume her.
Outside, the cool air hit her like a splash of cold water, awakening her senses. She leaned against the wall, desperate to catch her breath. The sterile aroma of the hospital mingled with the faint scent of rain from the nearby street, grounding her in the chaotic moment. Glaiza closed her eyes, willing the tears to fall as she struggled to regain her composure.
Eduardo didn't follow his wife; he knew she needed air, space to process the gut-wrenching revelation. He remained in the room, his jaw clenched tight as he faced Jaiden. The boy's face was a mask of remorse, but Eduardo felt no sympathy.
He took a step closer, his voice low but full of intensity. "You think saying sorry will fix this? You've shattered my daughter's trust, and now she's lying in a hospital bed because of your recklessness."
Jaiden flinched at the words, his shame deepening. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen," he stammered, desperation creeping into his tone.
Eduardo's eyes hardened. "Intentions don't matter when the consequences are this severe. You need to understand the gravity of what you've done. Eliana deserves better than a coward hiding behind excuses."
Freddieric and Andrea keep their mouth shut because they know how wrong their son is.
Glaiza saw the doctor coming on her daughter's room, she knows this doctor. A friend of her to be exact. Something plan came on her mind.
She stopped the doctor when she was about to open the door. "Is... Is that my daughter's result about her child?" she asked the doctor. The doctor nodded. "How's my grandchild and my daughter... Are they safe?"
The doctor handed her the results paper. "They are safe. The patient really need to be careful, thank fully the baby inside her has tight grip. I will give her some medicines for the baby, and for her." she nodded in answer.
